Whist I'm waiting the 4 weeks lead time to get the patio guy here to lay stonework, I've started rennovating the most minging outside toilet in the world so we have a usable loo from the patio. About half way through now, will post some pics when I get a chance.

My little 6x4 tool shed was displaced by our new extension so I tried to resite it next to my big shed/workshop.

It's around 12 years old and didn't survive the experience!

Through some stock issues and offers, managed to pick up Ryobi brushless percussion drill, brushless impact driver, 2x 2.5amp batteries and a charger for £193.60 from Homebase.

We have some shutters arriving so she wants the rooms redone, cracks sorted, old curtain holes filled and the entire room repainted before they drill holes in for the shutters..

When the boiler was replaced the old timer and thermostat were electrically disconnected but the wiring and device were not removed.

So I've ripped out the old devices, capped the electrical wires (they're not live) and put a wire mesh+backing plaster in to fill the holes. Once dry it will be sanded, raked and finishing plaster on top, sanded and then ready for repaint of the entire front room.

Also will dig out a set of cracks, and rebuild with pva, bonding plaster, finishing plaster before repainting in four other rooms.

Next it will be the resealing of the pvc windows..

I now own a plastic Hawk and a plaster rectangle thing.. #properdiy

Sounds interesting. Pics of project?

A few. Bascially building a wrap-around patio, about 70sqm.

Basically solving multiple issues;
- Ground was too high at back of house (above DPC), so had to dig down 400mm to ensure the finished surface was correct....30t of soil\hardcore\clay.
- Drainage at rear was inadequate. I've replaced 4 waste water hoppers, traps, and all of the clay pipe under what will be the patio. Also put in 20m of channel drain around the house. There's a 1/60 fall back to the house\channel.
- Replaced the lead water main which was under this area.
- Put in 63mm twinwall conduit from the front of the house, and from a 10mm power point at the back of the house to outbuildings. Ethernet\alarm\SWA.

Whacking this weekend, stone going down in 2 weeks. Done it all myself apart from a few jobs where sign-off was needed. I've got someone in to lay the stone.

Also rennovated an outside toilet, so there'll be nice facilities off the patio. May build a stone retaining wall in the future, but just chucked in timber to get it moving.

Think it'll come in at about £7.5-8K excluding the water main and toilet.

30t of material out, 20t of material in. Bit of a Summer project to keep me busy :)
