So, your good happy life? Is that a happy life for you? So your screwing about makes you happy, but what about the women you are screwing around with, you think it makes them happy? (ok, no sarky comments).
You obviously missed my infamous love thread.
To life a "good happy life" means living by the 10 commandments?
The ten commandments are a means of control and keeping the church important so that those in charge can prosper. It's ultimately a state directive for confoming people </marxism>
1. I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Covered his back there nicely. God is being a bit petty don't you think?
2. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
Fair enough, but why would God care if he could just send us to hell on a whim?
3. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them.
Again, trying to conform people. Wake up.
4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Well that went to pot.
5. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
Now this makes sense, but isn't religious is it?
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
This also makes sense, but was aimed at keeping families together. It could also have been those in charge just trying to makesure their wives didn't run amock.
Again, not religious but valid. It also is a state attempt at conforming people.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
First, it's neighbour (with a 'u'). Second, why is it that this is part of the ten commandments but religion is too quick to condem non-believers or start war over holy territory?
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.
Come off it, no omnipotent being / divine spirit would be so petty to judge you for not believing in it. It's just scare mongering to get more people to 'believe' in a myth.
You DO NOT need religion to worship God. All religous types have a habit of trying to throw it down my throat like i'm an idiot, when infact it's they who need to wake up.
If you're going to believe, do it alone. It'll be more personal anyway. And please listen to what i'm saying: God is not petty, God will not care if you believe or not. Someone who lived life doing good deeds and lived happy is not going to hell over someone who was a horrible person but believed.
Starting to see some flaws yet? I didn't think so.
Religious people can see logic everywhere else but when it comes to their beliefs, it's like their pride blinds them.
I believe, no wait, I hope there is a God and a heaven because it gives me solace and comfort in hoping that death is not the end. We're all afraid, we don't have to fight over it.
