I'm sorry but i'm basically 20 years old. I live a happy life, i'm thankfull for what I have and i'm a nice person. I know praying wont make a blind bit of difference to what happens to me so I don't bother.
People only pray as they hope there is something more to life and death isn't the end, it's that simple. You think you're better than me because you believe in something someone 2000 years ago fabricated. The truth is you're a fool.

Sorry, but the truth hurts.

Corker of a post, undoubtedly will be followed by cries of HEATHEN!

Personal attack - Personal attack!! :p

Dont be sorry about being 20, I was 20 once too.

Sure, because you dont think there will be any point in praying there wont be. I know praying works, and prayed and it did work, and has worked multiple times.

No, I dont think I am better than you, I just think you are missing out on something important.

Look kid, "the truth hurts" isn't really much of an argument

Sure, its us that needs to wake up. The people following the 2000 year old religeon, not some 18 year old kid (judging by your love thread)

How long did people believe the world was flat again? Just because that's what people think doesn't always make it true.

Same with Britney Spears pretending to be a virgin, just because she believes is doesn't make it true  :p

1) It wasn't a personal attack, you know that.

2) Religious people have a great gift for making any excuse to any critizism of their religion:

"So why do we have to believe?"
"It's a test."
"But God is all-knowing, wouldn't he know the outcome already?"
"No, because you have free-will."
"You're an idiot..."
"Heathen!"
"Oh for Gods sake."
"Blasphemy!"
"What about the lack of evidence?"
"Tis the devils work."

- If life's just a test, that's:
a) A pretty petty God we have.
b) A bit depressing.

So Hell is a place without God is it? I guess then the world today is Hell.

Lets not go insulting people because of the age of them. Really does my head in when people do that, some guy replied to me before saying he would have given me more respect if I was older. Stupid stupid comments, and things like grow up kid? My mate used to say that to people, its kinda old... doesn't wind people up anymore.

Lets not get into personal insults as this is going to get closed very quickly otherwise.

That's because you are one of those individuals who simply can't take it seriously enough, can't really be bothered to give it a try, learn, etc...

To learn what? Learn that other people believe what they have been told to believe in?

Or

Learn something which is true......

It depends how the person hearing it thinks, and what they believe in.

I know it wasn't a personal attack, thats why I put the ":p" in

we are getting close to agreeing on something.

If you actually look into world affairs, all the crap today is a result of direct or indirect religious actions. Religion is the evil today, and (not a personal attack) people like you who believe in this crap are the ones who ultimately cause the trouble.

You believe in something, some God because you've eligibly found enlightenment, suggesting that 'we' haven't which seems a bit selective. I think it's unfair that just because you've been chosen, you now get to goto heaven. The fact that all religion is so old in its beliefs only hinders the progress of mankind further.

I could safely assume that if you took religion out of the equation, you would still believe in God. I say this because for whatever reason, God has given you comfort. It doesn't do that for me. You're a Christian I assume, because of living within a Christian country and being raised with Christian values. If you were born elsewhere you would probably have become a Muslim for example. This proves my point that organised religion is not needed.

To life a "good happy life" means living by the 10 commandments?
1. I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
3. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them.
4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.
Now do you want to point out to people that there are 3 different sets of 10 Commandments in the bible, they are also different from the Commandments listed in Catholic bibles and they are different from the Torah from which they were supposedly faithfully translated. Care to help people here know which set of divine laws to follow BTW what about the other 600 odd commandments in the bible? Do we have to follow them if we wish to avoid hell?
going to hell
Which hell is that the one in the bible or the one that Dante described or the modern version of exclusion from god
