Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

a good remap will gain a good few bhp and torque. JamSport have offers on till the 31st i believe. I would only get the map if youve decided to stay without uprated cams. If you looking to upgrade them later do the mapping at the same time. Cams will allow it to rev like mad to 7000rpm. 4500rpm is where the fun starts in my car!

Hmmm my ST is has started to only blow out hot air even when dial is on cold or aircon is on....been looking about on the net and it could possibly be a heater control valve. Has any one else had this sort of problem with theirs before?

My pride and joy, got it in September been putting off posting it up :> done nearly 4k miles.

Lovely. They don't half make our old MK6's look incredibly small and dated lol.

Friend of mine picked up his new ST last night, great car, super planted at speed and pretty quick all in all. Needs to loosen up a bit yet, he's gonna get the mountune kit on it.

He's gonna let me have a test drive next week when it's on his insurance instead of the Ford 7 day one so I'm looking forward to that :)

Gonna change my gearbox oil and PAS fluid.

1) How much of each do I need
2) Is there a cheaper source than going direct to Ford for Ford fluids?
3) Should I just get aftermarket stuff instead and if so what specs do I need to be looking at?

Ta chaps :)

For PAS fluid it doesn't really matter what you use as it'll boil without a cooler or relocation kit anyway :D

For the gearbox you may struggle to do it at home as from what I can make out it's a complete ******* of a job.

My mechanic will do both but just need to know how much I need fluid wise as I may use Ford stuff "to play safe" :)

Cars nearly done 50k, no issues with boiling PAS really but it's getting a bit dark now so time for a change :) I don't drive the car that hard so it never gets a hard time in that respect :)

Ordering a Mk 7 white ST. Would you guys go with grey or orange trim? I don't want it too flashy but I can't help think it's going to be so dull inside if I go with grey...

Driving normally, not too many instances of ragging her nor driving like a OAP, what's everyone getting mpg wise?

My idling is still off and don't know if anything is "properly" wrong so just getting an idea. I see around 26 - 28 going my android app where all my costs are added in. This a bog standard 2005 ST.

I drive quite steady... I'm getting about 33-34 around town and 45+ on a run.

If I give it 10 mins of hell on twisty roads it doesn't really drop much from town mpg I have to say!

Tracking is good, just had a new front pair of tyres and they checked it for me, all well within Ford specs.
When they went to move her the chap said that doesn't sound like its breathing right. They suggested air filter and plugs. If not they will smoke test the air inlet pipes for a leak, or that is what they thought.
But anything I can do at home I'll be more than happy to try!

33-34 and 45 on a run? Sure you haven't accidentally bought a diesel?

Mine stuck at 28 what ever i was doing.

lol I may as well have done, I've gone all old man as of late, rarely give it any. It's pretty good on fuel after my Type R, a tenner goes 55 miles or so around town in the ST, really quite good. I make sure all my cars are well serviced though so all the usual fluids, plugs etc were changed as soon as I got it, if it helped or not I'm not sure.

Mountune CAIS, milltek 60mm flexi, custom centre section without a silencer and Piper backbox, doesn't seem to get much worse if I do hoon it.

I have a pic somewhere where it hit 50.7mpg on a 60 mile jaunt :)
