Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

I'm probably just going to keep my GT86 forever I think. I don't know what else I'd buy next :p

There isn't really anything that stands out atm, not new cars anyway.

Feel much the same at the moment.

I've been looking on off at the classifieds as I always do. Had my DC5 for 4 years now and was considering changing to something newer but nothing really grabs my attention under 15k. I did consider the Fiesta ST but think I'd regret selling the DC5 once the new car novelty wore off.

Other option was a GT86 and a supercharger kit down the line. My DC5 has a few decent mods and around 240bhp so felt a bit underwhelmed after test driving the 86. Enjoyed the dynamics of it though. I'm now thinking of just keeping the DC5 and saving a large chunk of cash for a deposit on a MY15 Mustang GT in a few years time. I do my other halfs nut in as I'm always rabbling away about what cars I'm going to buy.

TBH I don't miss having a turbo on the GT86. It doesn't feel slower than the Fiesta ST did on the road. Just keep the revs over 4500. At some point I'm going to tune it but staying NA :)

What remaps would you recommend for a mk7 st? Completely stock. Torn between the mp215 to keep warranty (1 year remaining), or the CP1 or 2. There seems to be crazy reviews about the CP2 saying it completely unlocks the car.

I’m in two minds about keeping the warranty with the mp215, as I will definitely be keeping the car for a good few years. Just taking the risk of anything happens between now and next year. But then again, a lot of ST Owners say they don’t notice much of a difference between stock and mp215. Decisions decisions...

Peron stage 1+ with the ITG induction. You'll not be disappointed. Scrapped my warranty due to mountune being massively inferior but keeps warranty. I'll flash back to stock and put old induction in if it needs to go in. I managed 209whp which is 243bhp with just the above and a gfb dv+

Nah you can really tell.

What wheels do people have, have most of you stayed with stock? Mine need a refurb, got me thinking do I either get them refurbed a nice bronze colour, or get a whole new set of shoes.

Fitted a symposer delete kit earlier and it blew straight out.. Fitted a jubilee clip to hold it in now happy with how quite the cabin is now though. Still here the itg induction and engine noise but much less drone and more subtle.

Posted in dashcams but relevant for here too. Ran the cable in the gap in the headlining and screen, lifted up the A pillar trim, tucked into weather seal and down into a gap near the glovebox, under the glovebox and then tucked between the carpet and centre console. I'll take a few pics when I get the chance.

Picked up a Yi Mini Dashcam, the cable was perfect for running inside the A pillar, behind the glovebox and tucked in to the centre console so I could make use of the rear 12v socket. Handy as it'll start recording as soon as I unlock the car and the socket stays powered 15 mins after the car is locked. Can't even see if from the driver's seat. Overall, satisfied for £40.

Quality is fine, I can pull numberplates from stills which is all you want really. It's pointed down as much as possible but still has a lot of sky, I've emailed them asking if they're making a mount with an angle which will point it down more for cars with raked screens.

Sad day for me today, my Fiesta ST is officially being traded in. 2 years, 19,500 miles and a hell of a lot of fun, it's the first car I'm really really going to miss. Honestly, I can't fault my ST, it's been nearly perfect and whoever gets mine next is in for a real treat of a car.

:(:(:(:(

Good news though is a Focus RS will be on my driveway by Thursday :D

Let us know how you get on. I'm very tempted to do the same, but I don't really want to lose the Fiesta ST. Ideally, the other half would take it then we could have both (she's looking for a new car anyway), but she complains about the visibility out of the sides.

Well, so far, it's been fantastic. The ST was never a slow car but the RS is just brutally quick. Just take everything the fiesta could do and just make it twice as good. It's bigger, more comfortable, better to drive, faster, so so so so much faster, grippier, louder, shoutier, everything.

I have a huge soft spot for the FiST, it was my first new car and I still like to see them on the road, but the RS is another kettle of fish, it's an absolute monster. If you're thinking about it, go take a test drive, but prepare the wallet before hand.

For anyone who's recall for the cylinder head cracking problem was not showing up on the Ford etis website, please check again, mine didn't show up. re checked tonight and now it does so I need to get it booked in, vin numbers and details of affected cars is here. http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/searches/search.asp?cboStartMonth=1&cboStartYear=1992&cboEndMonth=1&cboEndYear=2020&cboMake=FORD&cboModel=FIESTA ST&cboSortOrder=rec_launch_date&cboAscDesc=ASC&PageSize=10&tx=0.9356435&newsearch=newsearch
