Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

I was looking at a 2017 st-3 today, getting tempted to get shot of my Ibiza but it was listed as having a 0-60 of over 11 seconds?! That can't be right can it?
Lol obviously a mistake. 0-60 is 6.9 seconds or if it has the Mountune upgrade between 6-6.5. Are you sure it wasn’t an ST Line you were looking at with the 1.0 engine??

Thanks guys!

It was listed as an st-3 with 180bhp and a 1.6 engine. Must have been a typo or like you say, using the st-line spec.

6.9 is really impressive then considering the new Polo with dsg hits around 6.5 not to mention it has 20 more horses.

Due to the temporary Overboost feature which gives you 200ps for 15 seconds of full throttle it can't be sold as that due to it not being permanent. It effectively is though as 15 seconds of full throttle is quite a long time. As soon as you take your foot off the throttle it resets.

They're sold as 182ps but with 200ps of overboost.

0-60 times should be taken with a pinch of salt anyway.

For a start they will do the test using the OEM tyres. Which makes a huge difference if it happens to come with slippery eco, or crap ones.

I honestly never drive my car like that :p

Here's the whole thing as per the dashcam thread, crappy handbrake turn and all.

I’d be absolutely fuming!! The two nobjockeys can barely string a sentence together.

On another note, why does it sound so good? :) mine sounds a lot less raspy than yours!

Maybe your symposer has been disconnected or isn't working properly? Just poodling about it's fairly quiet but nice and throaty under load and when pushing on.

I'll update on the situation in the dashcam thread now, saves this from being trashed with my problems.

I always find my dashcam disconnected when it come back from the dealer! These lads aren't even that clever!

I've got a Nextbase with the powered suction cup effort. I've got a hard-wiring kit and glue the cable into the suction cup. If someone removes the cam from the cradle it'll start recording (using parking mode sensor) so if I ever find that this is the case when it's been in the garage, a faecal storm will ensue.

They normally just pull the power cable from the mount. I am reluctant to glue it in. It is hardwired though.

I am dying to hear the comeback from this one though!!!! I would be livid, nice new front tyres and free services at another Ford dealer at least. I got a nice meal at a posh restaurant from a dealer once as an apology too.

Just watched the video, that is absolutely shocking, I'd be wiping the floor with Ford and threatening legal action as well and go to the police anyway with that footage and get that lad's license taken off him.

Just had a 4 wheel alignment done (only fronts are adjustable) and had them set up along with 4 new pilot sport 4s. Let's see what the hype is about with them.

Took my car in for it yearly service last week and they did leave the dashcam plugged in...

The test drive was fine (was driven a little over some the speed limits but nothing to bad)

Not quite an ST, but just bought Fiesta Metal Edition.

Would this be worth a remap? I come from the world of Diesels where the answer to that is nearly always a yes.

No, I had a metal before the ST3 as a stop gap. It's NA so not worth a remap. It's already more tuned than the standard Zetec S of that period at 134ps over the 120ps. You can look at Mountune MP140 and the Mountune MR155 kit if you want more but due to it being NA it's going to be pricey for not much gain.
