Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Anyone one got rear spacers on??

I was wondering if these would be ok, i just wanna make sure 12.5mm will be ok when my car is slammed on my AP Coilovers as i might get these fitted at the same time if they wont cause any rubbing in the arches.

They do a 20.5mm as well but i think that might be pushing it a bit

Cheers

You should be fine with those on AP coilovers with standard wheels.

I was running those spacers with ET38 wheels and with the rear adjusters removed so it's the lowest the rear would go, looked like this

now that was close but still no rubbing.
The fronts were a different matter though haha.

Some nice poke there! :p

Took some less sunny pictures of the car with black wheels. So hard to expose correctly with a phone on a white car.

I'm not sure I'm keen on the black wheels. I feel like i need to do some other bits to make them fit in with the scheme of the car like really bench tints and light tints. I don't want to have to do these mods, specifically light tints to get them to look right in my opinion.

I think i'm going to get some Team Dynamic Imolas in Silver. Really like the look of them just kinda want to know what they'd look like on the car first.

That looks sick and thats just with 12.5mm?? im defo getting some then :D

Got any more pics of that orange st with those rims mate??

Don't think they would suit the car at all myself - too fussy a design, and like the monzas the Chrome detailing looks really cheap.

Just my 2p worth!

I'd do something about the centre caps no doubt. Maybe fill them in and smooth them. Get rid of the chrome.

I've grown bored of the standard multi spokes since coming from the SuperTurismo on my Zetec. Just want something different this time like the Imolas or Pro Race 3.

What are the 12.5mm spacers like to fit on the ST? I fitted them to my old Zetec but that was just a drum brake and it was child play once i got the hub nut off.

I thinking of getting some white Team Dynamics ProRace 3's. What does everyone reckon? Will these look any good on a black ST. Pictures of my car are on the previous page.

Cheers

The spacers are easy enough - essentially four bolts from behind to take the hub off the beam, and remove the ABS sensor, then put the spacers in and reassemble with the longer bolts. Unclipping the brake flexi gives you a bit more freedom to move the hub about, but you don't have to dismantle anything else. You do have to file out the spacers to give adequate clearance around where the ABS sensor pushes through from behind, probably the worst part of the job.

These are Ford Spacer used on the ford KA and puma i believe, they had been used fine for the YEARS, its only in the last week that ive heard of two sets failing. Which is rather odd to me, if Ford fit them as standard to some cars!

Hubcentrics put more load of the bearing i think, as it just moves the wheel out, the Ford ones move the whole hub out. Only needed on the rear, and 12.5mm is "just right" and moves them out inline with the front wheels.

When i fitted them to my old car i was surprised how light they were. I did ponder how long they'd last. As you say though, Ford have been fitting them for years so they should be ok! :)

Well i have managed to get a very good quote on getting the alloys powder coated.

Alloy is shot blasted then powder primed then finally powder coated.

£100 inc pick up and delivery on all 4!...... Only downside is that it will take a week...Which means i need to find 2 wheels for the ST so i can still use it for work.

I now have 4 nearly new condition wheels with 2 buggered wheels, so might just get another 2 buggered St alloys and use them for the winter? Good idea i think. So if anyone spots 2 really cheap ST alloys, please let me know.

I went to my mates garage yesterday to get my tracking sorting out. Only problem was that he couldnt do it cause the car was to low at the front to get the device thing under the arch and over the tyre. Looks like Im either going to have to go somewhere that can do it and pay for it or raise the car up.

Where's that? Wouldnt mind the wheels doing on my 172.

I got confused with the reply i got from him the first time. It is actually £140 which is still cheap really.

Give him a email and he will get back to you with in a few hours.

The email i got from him what will give you a estimate to how much it will cost:

Hi Ryan,

£20 for me to collect and return as im in halifax which is past leeds on the m62. U know what size the wheels are and then i can quote you, to give you some sort of idea my prices are below.

The price depends on the condition of the wheel, if you could send me some pictures i would confirm the price.

The base prices for wheels that just want shot blasting and powder coating are as follows.

8" to 10" are £20 each
12" to 16" are £25 each
16" to 18" are £30 each
and 19" to 22" are £40 each.

The above rates are based on shot blasting each wheel and powder coating if they need grinding first due to kerb damage its an extra £5 a wheel
