Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

I've done it, its not just wishful thinking, theyll definitely fit! :) I took my standard wheels home in the back of my car after my new wheels went on. That was with tyres on the stock wheels to...

Will nearly didn't have a boot the way he backs out of his drive ;)

What did I do?! Didn't notice anyone too close when I pulled out, bar the usual people flying around the corner at the top of my road and the crap turning circle making it a trickier maneuver to do if I want to back off my drive and move to the church car park over the road...tonight I was mildly pre occupied, was just shuffling the cars around on the drive so I don't have to shift the car before my parents go out in the morning...

This borderline stalking should stop btw, or at least you should introduce yourself in person! :p

Instead of a new thrad i'll just post here,
There's no real difference between 205/40 R17 and 205/45 R17, Isn't it a 10mm difference?
Anyone know the max size the fiesta will take, i'm guessing the 10mm makes no difference on a non-lowered car./

Also: Anyone using aftermarket locking nuts for their wheels? what make/type have you got?

I've got McGard nuts, in black, can get you the number if you like, along with lightweight nuts from Demon Tweeks. Its worth noting that different wheels may need differemt locking nuts, one cannot gaurantee that what fits my wheels will fit yours!

As for the 45 profile tyres, the increased overall circumference (and greater rolling radius) means the tyres are more likely to rub if you are planning on lowering your car.

No idea off the top of my head what difference it will make to the cars speedo etc, its going to be out, maybe not by much, but it will have some effect.

I've always gone for the 40 profile as they're a cheaper tyre. My mate swears by the 45s giving a much nicer ride but i can't justify the premium.

Had a few spare hours and though i'd go see what the O.Z. SuperTs looked like on the ST. Also, gave the 2 that i took out a good clean and they're in quite good condition.

Should i keep them or sell them? That's the question!

Keep, nice strong well made wheel that looks good on the car :)

I really am just tempted to get the rubber changed over and get these boys on the go again.

They probably look better than the black plastidipped standards i have on at the moment. Just need to find those bolts i had with them...

Saves me money selling these and getting a different alloy. Means i can just concentrate on getting the springs/coilovers on.

Still undecided myself, be awesome on a race or track car but a little loud for the road.

Looking at that makes me think I need to get my coilies set a little lower...far better stance than my car just as its that little bit lower!

More fail just discovered with my car, this time inflicted by someone else....looks like someone tried to pull the nearside side skirt off last night, all the clips along the side are broken or loose and its only held on by the clips underneath...its now really loose and liable to flap about at both ends.

No lasting damage to the skirt from what I can tell but a hassle I could could have done without (and no doubt the clips will be silly money to buy! :()
