Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Check the Powersteering pump for any leaks. Make sure the gearbox is OK checking that it goes into every gear smoothly. Also check the front seat release latch works so that you can get into the back as these break like on all MK6 fiestas.

Thanks! I heard something on the STOC about the powersteering fluid sometimes going a darkish colour being an indicator of a problem, that related to the leaks?

Check the heated front windscreen. Probably will be streaky by now so worth a punt at knocking some money off too.

Test drove it today. It's absolutely mint, everything functioned as it should and hopefully I'll know tomorrow if I'm getting it or not :D

The tints and wheels were actually alright in person and looked the part, aside from lowering it also has a K&N 57i filter on there and that's it, so just what I was planning anyway :)

Better pic of it: http://i43.tinypic.com/opz0wz.jpg

I actually really like the look of that, the black brings it out well!

Looks like the owner was on STOC going by the stickers, to maybe (if you haven't already) check on there see if he's posted anything about the car. Will either give you a warning, or some extra peace of mind.

Enjoy the car! :D

Well it's from a well known dealer who specialises in Ford anyway, and the salesman has apparently a long history of dealing with the previous owner and his family (Apparently they owned several ST's/Zetec S's) so hopefully they'd have known anything dodgy about it.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow :)

What sucks is if I get it, I have to wait until the 14th of Feb for my Birthday so I can insure it (Won't let me insure it until I'm 21, and then it'll be £610 per year which is fantastic).

610 a year makes me sick. I am paying just over 3x that lol....

You will enjoy it though mate! You'll have to get more pics when you fetch it.

Making progress with my carbon plug/lead cover, helicoils are now in, just waiting for some bolts and then need to start trimming the carbon sheet to fit.

I nearly fell off the back of my chair when they told me and asked them to double check all the details, that's with 3 points aswell! I was expecting a minimum of a grand !

Has anyone retrofitted an AUX port into their facelift ST? The one I'm getting has the new type on radio but AFAIK it doesn't come with the AUX option to connect an iPod or phone...is this a big job?
