So I posted a while a go that I was getting my Fiesta St. I had a few little problems which have now all been sorted, nearly.
So to begin with:
"Wall of text - Got car, had problems, got fixed"
Opening the window past 3/4 made a cracking sound, had the door card apart and one of the plastic holders the window sits on had snapped. Had this replaced.
The rear bumper 'mesh' was also missing which was a £20 job.
After the 1st week I noticed gear changes were becoming sticky once the car was warmed after driving 30+ miles. After doing some research I found this to be a common problem. Initially I had the linkage re-greased and the gearbox oil replaced but this didn't cause the problem to go away. Also with the car raised I found the two front tyres which were 6 months old had worn on the inside.
I had this repaired at a garaged for less than I expected - £75. And once this was done I scooted off to the tyres place for some new ones to be fitted as well as the tracking doing.
So the new tyres were on and the tracking guys comes over and asked if I had been in an accident before
Obviously this was news to me and required a new something to be fitted by the front passenger side wheel. So this was also sorted on that day and the tracking was able to be finished. Total for the day was around £190
So all of the above has now been done and the car was noticable easier to drive and I felt a little safer knowing I was driving in a straigt line.
Last week I had a new Long Life custom exhaust fitted which sounds the dogs danglies (although a little loud inside the car when you boot it) I asked for a raspy sound and the guys managed to get it spot on. I think they were more excited when they started it up than I was.
I need to have the driver side seat handle sorted as it snapped off. Not sure if this is an easy fix or not?
Well there we go. Owning a new(5years old) car and all its hazards in the full.
A few more items to go on the car before I will be completley happy including a new air filter maybe having the car lowered and continueing to remove the sliver F a previous owner stuck to the rear bumper.
