Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Yeah, that is very odd! I'm currently looking like this and no rubbing at all. Is the ARB all ok? Is the car rolling into the lining?

I guess it could be a posibilty. but its doing it on straight lines as well as turning, dont think a ARB effects straight line suspension much does it? Its just there to stop roll? I may look into changing the drop links before going mad and getting B12s or something.

Booked a track day for Snetterton on the 12th of Feb, hope it aint snowing! lol.

It's rubbing when going straight?

Have you taken it to a garage at all to have a quick look over?

Out of interest, how do you find going to track days ages your car? I'm a massive girl and the only thing that's stopping me from doing any track days is the amount of stress i'd be putting on the car.

Hey people another fiesta st owner here
06 plate
33k on the clock
Perfomance blue
Lowered 20mm on eibachs
Mountune cold air induction
Piper 4-1 mani
Piper sports cat
Graham goode racing cat back
Dreamscience remap

Seems to be a popular car for computer nuts haha!

Ohh and overlag somthing is definatley ot right there mate should be no rubbing at that height, are all your bushes ok? Definatley check it out.

B12's would be lush
I want some ap's though!
What are those wheel in that picture a couple above this?

They not do it when you had it mapped?

I would be hoping for about 170-180 with all that and 195ish with cams.

ST500 is a limited edition, black with silver graphics, also has a slightly nicer interior with carbon effect vent rings and centre console, mechanically as standard they are identical in every way, so standard things apply as for any other ST. They also have full leather I believe, not sure on other options though! Got any links to the advert?

Price seems fair to me, slightly higher mileage than one would expect from an 08 Fiesta but the ST500 is sought after and assuming its in great condition then the price is okay I'd say.

Oh and before the dealer starts talking rubbish to try and secure a sale - every single Fiesta ST500 has badge inside that says 'ST 500 1/500', it does not mean you are looking at the first of a limited production run and thus a more valuable car, they are all 1 of 500 cars and amusingly all carry a 1/500 badge! :D

Thanks for the tip!

Ive had a previous Fiesta ST which I bought new, so im happy with the car, just unsure whether to spend the money or not.

It's pretty new but the miles would put me off. Is 1 owner though and that person probably has kept the car in good nick with it being a special edition ST500..be interesting to see the condition of it.

60k would put you off? lol

I've took mine to 90k. Done 18k since i bought it March last year. Should see another 50k before i sell it on im guessing.

I feel like my car is so knackered even on 25k...think it may be due to the Diamond White paint though. Frozen white puts mine to shame... :(

All in my head.

Lol 25k....Not even started to run it in yet.

My ST is starting to show signs on the exterior. Laquer is peeling on the passenger side skirt quite bad and a bit of paint fade to a good eye on the passenger side.

car has been in the garage so many times since October its depressing. Its going fords in Feb for its final ford service. May get them to proper have a look at it. If dampers are shot ill get some B12s. If the bushes are gone, ill get some poly bushes. Not sure what to do with the CV gaiter issue, i im at a serious loss how they can be failing so often.

Hmm well 2011 was a mad year for trackdays for me, and its certainly taken its toll, with more things going wrong than ever. It should be fine, but ive taken it too far. I wasnt happy unless i was banging in constant 58-59second laptimes, out of our group i was the fastest there, that included TWO supercharged ST's, one Lotus and two Mr200 cars. Only fiesta i was slower than was the race car that came with us, which had slicks.

Silly really.

2008 i did one 3hr day at snetterton (old)
2009 i did one 3hr day at snetterton (old) and one 7hour day at Brands Hatch (indy)
2010 i did one 7hour day at Brands Hatch (indy)
2011 was one 7hour day at Snetterton 300, two 3hour days at Brands Hatch and one 7hour day, plus 10minutes around Silverstone (full GP)

Up untill 2010 things were fine tho. 2011 i passed 50k, then 60k. I fitted new 300mm brakes, mountune 185, diff, etc. I generally change oil after every track day, and with bigger brakes ive not had issues there either, not that i did before. I ruined my standard alloys on pot holes and Brands Hatch kurbs, and who knows those kurbs may be why my right front is broken? lol.

All those trackdays burnt throught a set of CS3s in 7k too :D

Jacked the car up to check on the rubber rubbing noise and came to the conclusion that it's the stock bump stops. Of course!

Has anyone cut out a few nobs of their bump stops when they've lowered the car or just left them? Or didn't even put them back on when swapping them around?

I'm pretty much on bump stops all the time at the moment.

Well last week i was deciding whether to 185 mountune my car and this week i have decided to leave my car altogether now. I know, once i have done the Euro trip i will want to sell so no point putting more money into it to lose on it. Guess by time i have done with it around October ill only get 2-2.5k for it.

Also if anybody is interested i have 4 alloys here that i need gone. £120 for lot but they all are in need of a refurb.

Going to look at a ST500 tomorrow, does anyone have one, what can they tell me about it?

Its in the garage at £5980, 2008, black 1 owner, 60k miles. What should i be aiming to pay?

That seems on the wrong side of cheap to me. It's cheap enough that I'd want to be sure in my head exactly why it was priced like that.

Got a link to the advert?

No one wants a 2 litre fiesta anymore, tax, insurance and fuel has killed the value.

On another note I ordered some b8 sprint shocks o go with my springs... Hopefully it won't bottom out anymore lol...
