Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Nice car Logsi! Really considering one of these myself as they're good on go go juice, I think the change from silver to piano black for the centre console has made a huge difference personally, really like it now :)

Unlucky that Rybo, noticed your motor on pistonheads, hope you get it shifted for a good price :)

Thanks! It's rather nippy considering the NA 1.6. I had a go in the normal Zetec S and that was just dog slow. The Metal feels a hell of a lot more willing and it's currently returning 46mpg on country roads which is quite a step up from my ST.

It's amazing what sort of gizmos you get in a Fiesta now. As an interim car i was running a top of the range (at the time) mark 4 fiesta and it's just crazy how far cars have come in just over 10 years.

It all links up to my iPhone to stream music and calls/texts effortlessly when i enter the car. The keyless entry and start is fantastic albeit looking like a bit of a gimmicks initially. Auto headlights and wipers actually work rather well too! It just feels like quite a step up from the Mark 6 and also quite exciting about what the ST will be like!

Like the look of the Mk7 Fiesta, the Mk6 looks so dated inside and out in comparison, the Mk6 ST is still a good looking car but definitely starting to look its age a bit!

Any Zetec S is just too slow for me though, even with the Mountune kit :p

I have a traffic-ridden ride to work, but mine gives about 40mpg, which isn't that bad considering. Plenty of go but the best thing is the handling, it's very sharp. The bluetooth and voice control is great, and I like the push button start a lot in mine.

I know it's not an ST, but they haven't released the Mk7 version yet, probably at the turn of the year though. Not a bad option to get a Metal if you want something newer and would have got the ST. Not many new ones left now though.

I think the mk6 looks really good for its age actually, inside the ST looks quite good even today :)

I'm getting fed of trying to sell the Fiesta now, it is unreal how useless buyers are these days.

Had someone ring me yesterday to say he is definitely having my car and that he'll be here today to view and buy it. Text me this morning to say he'll be here around dinner time or will get i touch if not. Not heard anything since, nore had a reply back to my text or voicemail.

Problem is I have turned down 2 viewings today because of this guy. Though 1 was from Ireland so doubt that would have been today.

Civic was up for 2 minutes before it was gone to the first viewer who came straight away with cash ready.

eBay, pistonheads, gumtree.

Best bet is autotrader but I cannot bring my self to pay £36 to put my car up on a site lol.

The Metal or S1600 variant are quite a bit faster than the abominably slow Zetec S. Not as fast as your ST though! :p

Will probably keep this stock for a while but would like the Mountune 155!

Love the side profile! They're just low enough for me not to get annoyed as well unlike the Zetec S.

Yes, panther black is much nicer than the base colour to me, but that's a matter of opinion. Midnight Sky looks cracking on the car as well tbh. There are only 3 colour choices on the limited edition metal anyway.

Not sure about the 140 discount, I guess you only need the induction and exhaust systems fitting and there's no fiddling with the engine map. That probably gets you to 140 from 134. So I guess it would be the price of those two combined instead. I could, of course, be wrong.

Didn't turn them down, just told them I'll get back in touch if nothing happens.

Anyway the ST has just driven off with its new owner. The lad couldn't get the grin off his face from first seeing it, to leaving in it.

Took him on a good half a hour thrash round country roads, he loved it.

Now I'll show you the new beast I am driving. Just gotta get a pic.

The beast i am driving about in:
