Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

The gearbox is just a bit agricultural feeling as standard, doesn't always fill you with confidence. With the Quiafe diff in mine it should take the power my car has with no issues but it doesn't always feel that pleasant...

Mudflaps are a pain in the backside to fit (the rears especially, bending the bracket to fit will confuse you and cut your hands in equal measure) and they didn't really seem to do much to keep the car any cleaner. I took them off after a while, decided I didn't like the look of them apart from anything else!

Pain to fit, car still gets muddy, always having to straighten them.

Ocuk didn't like the pictures... People who actually seen them liked them. I got fed up of them and took them off when selling the car. Car looks tidier without them.

How are you getting on with the VXR?

Loving it mate, for me it is a massive upgrade from the ST. The torque steer alone makes it worth it and the acceleration is mind blowing for a hatchback. Still trying to find the boundaries of it, got CS3 tyres on the way and new brakes and pads all around going on Tuesday.

Who do people use as their insurer? I'm part of a multi car policy with Admiral and they are struggling to match or beat policies I have had quoted for just my car only. I'm wondering if its worthwhile me trying an insurance company who specialise in hot hatch/modified cars. Anyone done that before? How did it go? Are they legitimate as the well known insurers? Only got a week to get something sorted.

my friend had one and it got in the way of the hand brake and made it hard getting in 2nd 4th and reverse. He seemed to think it was great though

I don't think I could live without having easy use of the handbrake, I'm not one to hold it with the foot brake for minutes on end at lights so it'd annoy me massively.

They should have designed it so that it was much thinner, meaning you could still slip your hand under to reach the HB.

they are climair ones. They are "ok" Its good being able to open your window 2-3inches and not get as much wind buffeting. However you cant really open your window less than that or it bangs against the door frame when you go over bumps, at least mine do.

Ive taken them out a few times, and i normally end up putting them straight back in because i do miss them when they are gone.

Will, I'm seriously looking into getting mr200 would you recommend it now you've run it for a few months? I know a few feel let down on STOC.
