Rubber glue if you ain't planning on taking the wheels off anytime soon.
Just got my insurance renewal through....Greenlight seem to think I only passed my test in 2007, where as in fact I passed in 2004. The email I have had thus far does not mention any mods either, so I will ring them up to double check the renewal covers all the same mods as the existing policy, as well as informing them of the correct date when I passed my test - one hopes this would serve to reduce the premium.
But anyway, I'm 26, 4 years NCB, the car is heavily modded, with mods to engine, brakes, suspension, gearbox, and exterior....policy includes personal business usage, 8k per annum, parked on a drive in a Wolverhampton postcode, with nobody else on the policy. The bit that really matters though.....£649, not bad really?Over £150 drop from last years....
For those who are members of FiestaSTOC, can anyone of you point me in the direction of a thread which explains how you take the front grills off so you can paint them? I've looked in the Technical Handbook without much joy. I'm after a guide with pictures rather than just text if possible.
Also seems like plastidip is back in stock. Is that all I need to paint my plastics? Can of this and nothing more?
Done my MK6 Zetec Sport last month - everything just pops out tbh. The bottom honeycomb mesh is held in with clips which you can just use a flat head screw driver on, the top mesh simply unclips once you lift your bonnet, you just have to mask up (or remove) the front badge. The fog lights have one screw holding them in which pop out. On the rear reflectors (be careful here) you'd use the flat head again and they just pop out along with the rear small honeycomb mesh on the bumper, then there's 2 small screws under the rear bumper just like the front honeycomb mesh. There's also clips all the way round holding it in place, granted it sounds like you've broken something as they pop out but take your time and it'll all slot back together nicely.
Sorry I cant comment on the plastidip as I cleaned and sanded my plastics down before applying several coats primer, Ford panther black and then the lacquer. One thing I would say if you're doing the job yourself is take your time, if you rush it it's going to look ****.
Really fancy going back to standard wheels at the moment.
I don't think there's a better wheel that suits the ST really.
Morning all,
Thanks for all you help so farI now have another question. Im looking at changing my HU for a double din but have read lots of people have problems with the adapters that they don't fit right and pop out. Has anyone changed theirs and happy with it? What adapter did you use?
Cheers!
i agree, with the center caps on they look great. Without they look a mess![]()
Defo..
Really playing with the idea of getting some standard wheels again and getting rid of my 16" pro race 1.2's
Curses, I change my mind more than I have hot dinners.
You got any pictures of your car on 16s mate? I toy with the idea of trying a smaller wheel all the time.
I have to agree about the wheels without the caps, look a mess. I was considering having the wheels painted and then painting the bolts too. Would help hide it slightly.
