Overlag - as for MR200..... Well it sounds utterly utterly epic for a four pot (I will get some videos soon), but I'm not convinced it truly adds 15bhp to everyone's car over the 185 kit. My car did 194bhp at powerstation with stage 2, then I've dyno'd it twice since going to stage 3, again both times at powerstation - first time got 201bhp, second got....194bhp. There was no apparent reason for the lower run, but my tyres were about 5psi down from what they should have been, that's my excuse!
Drivability is improved in that it picks up better from low revs, so easier to cruise in higher gears at town speeds, less need to change down the gears, and much better pick up from low revs rather than the cammy feel of the 185 which I thought felt slightly gutless unless you were in exactly the right gear or properly giving it some beans.
Like the 185 it still won't 'roll' along in traffic with no throttle whilst in gear. It kangaroos slightly less than the 185 but its not perfect, easier to drive around town for the reasons I mention above, but not exactly oem feel - you always know its been breathed upon. Idle is lumpier and more gruff sounding than with stage 2. At motorway speeds the car is slightly quieter than with the standard inlet, unless you're booting it, as the metal inlet 'buzzes' less than the plastic one. The rev limiter is softer, less of a hard cut than stage 2, and you're more likely to hit it as it rushes to the redline even harder than 185.
I really love it, the sound makes it, I find myself booting it just to hear the growl, and it still pops like the 185. Mpg is no worse than stage 2 was. But it is a lot of cash! Being an Essex chap I expect you could meet someone from the forums local who has it, see what you think. I'd offer a ride in mine but its a bit of a trek unless you come past here on a Welsh roadtrip!
