Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Anyone got/had Parada Spec 2's on their car? I'm thinking of taking up Black Circle's 0% interest offer on them as money's a little tight at the moment but I'm in dire need of better tyres (3 Mohawk's and 1 Arrowspeed, go on laugh :p ). They rate highly on Tyre Reviews but wondered what they are like specifically on the ST ?

I ran the Spec 2's for a bit when I had my ST many moons ago and I found them to be pretty good in the dry but were pretty shocking in the wet and didn't inspire any confidence at all.

horrible tyres. Watching Readie (MR200 FiestaST) disappear in my mirrors due to a slight bit of moisture on the road was comical. I felt sorry for him :( I dont think he will be using them again.

What do you guys think of this? Was looking at a Focus STs or CTRs and things like that, but worried that they would be to powerful for me as I've only been driving a year, then this caught my eye... I know its a little pricey, working on getting the price down. Went to see it yesterday, it's in reasonably good condition. Few minor issues, there is a chip/scratch on the front decal and on the windscreen that's been repaired. One of the alloys has a bit of a scuff, but then they are curb me specials! There is a small dint on the roof near the front, but they are getting that repaired. Drove really nice... Not looking to mod it, just want something that's a little more powerful and fun to drive than my current 2002 1.25 which is, to be fair, a bit ****:p

I think you might find the turbo punch of the Focus ST a bit intimidating, I certainly wouldn't spend 7.5k on a Fiesta ST though when you could buy an RS Clio 197 for the same price.

Exactly why I've decided against it and similar cars for now. To much too soon I think :)

As I said I know the price is high and I'm working on getting it down, already got it down a fair bit, still work to do!

I don't really like the Clio. While I know it's technically the superior car I don't find it as comfortable and I'm not as keen on the looks. Also more expensive to run from what I've heard. I know a few people who have had loads of problems with them too, not RS models granted, but it still kind of puts me off even more!

Unless you're going to get another 2k off I wouldn't bother, it's just too much to pay for an ST150 when 5.5k - 6k puts you in a really good example.

I hear what you are saying. From what I can see it seems 6k - 6.5k is the going rate for a decent 2008 example. I'm pretty sure I would be able to get this car within that range. So 500ish quid for a year newer car (5.5-6k cars are 2007) plus a few extras like the nicer wheels, technology pack and full leather is not too bad.

Well the dealer was a bit of an ass in the end, so gave up.

Went to see a 2007 performance blue ST yesterday...

Picking it up tomorrow!!! :D

Looks like a nice example!

The wait is going to feel like forever!

I'm already feeling it! Gonna have a few beers, eat a huge pizza then go bed early! Luckily I've been up since 5am so I'll be sleepy!!!

But knowing my luck I'll get a call tomorrow saying its not ready! Already having trouble with Natwest, can't transfer any money from my savings, so will have to put 2k on my credit card and pay the 4% fee grrrr!

Got my nicely painted engine cover and customer plug cover fitted today :)

My car is so filthy at the moment though, done lots of long drives lately and it needs a proper clean inside and out, weather is not exactly helping though :(

I don't sadly :( a mate of mine has a decent camera (where as I have nothing suitable, can't see a HTC Desire taking any good vids) and I keep bugging him to lend it me or come out for a bit of filming but we still havent got round to it...

It should sound exactly like this though:

And this is the demo video Mountune did of the test inlet, camera mounted low down near the engine:

:D
