Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Messaged a few people on eBay who are breaking ST170's about the carriers, hopefully someone will turn up a good price ;)

Killer, did you lower your car yet :)

I want st170 brakes all round next year. Want some pedal feel back, Mondeo soft pedal feel isn't the greatest lol.

I have 12.5mm ones but haven't got them fitted yet. Latest mod for mine is my splitter from the group buy on STOC. Just need to get someone to help me fit it.

tYou only really want them if your car has been lowered. Mine has 12.5mm spacers with the Eibach extra low springs and it really makes a difference, I noticed that mine was able to straddle speed bumps more comfortably aswell, on the standard car the front track is actually wider than the rear meaning the front would float over but the back felt like you'd been rear ended, I'll get you a pic of my rear wheels in a bit so you can see the difference :)

Thanks for that info Shaun - I've got the ZS model of the MK6 Fiesta and have recently purchased Eibachs and the 12.5mm spacers. I wont get the chance to get them fitted until the new year but I'm told it makes a huge difference to the cars handling.

I'll just put this here :p:

On the subject of wheels though, which 16's fit? I bought a set of Zetec-S 16's and they do touch the caliper slightly, maybe if the pads were more worn they would be fine. I had a set of 16's from an old Mondeo but they were ET37 and looked terrible, not to mention the crap they threw up the side of the car, but the offset meant they cleared the calipers fine.

I'm running 16" Speedlines and they fit over them fine. My old 16" pro race 1.2s would also fit I would imagine.

So your saying no point in getting spacers unless the car is lowered?

Its a styling thing really. When lowered you notice the rear wheels are well within the arches and it looks very narrow. When at standard ride height its less noticeable. They will increase rear end stability too, but I prefer the handling the way it is so didnt bother.

How you liking the mr200 killer? Great noise now :D

Well, after 5 years if driving round in a 41bhp Smart car, I got bored and joined your nice club :)

The one thing i like more about my smart and would make this car perfect, is a sixth gear. but thats just a minor niggle. And I'm dammned if i can use a clutch and gear stick haha.

Think i'll get it booked in at the detailing place for some winter protection. try to keep my shine nice :)

Also can anyone recommend a good fitting not too expensive seat cover to protect it from my work grime.

I hate you. :D

Sounds like you got lucky too as I was reading that Mountune aren't ordering anymore inlets to be manufactured unless they get a significant interest. (They are down to the last couple now)

Welcome to the club Sgt Pepper. My two rear tyres are needing replaced soon so have ordered some Uniroyal Rainsport 2's (thought I had P Zero's all round but seems not). These will actually be going on the front and my two P Zero's will be going on the rear till they also need replaced.
