Who owns a Golf GTD / GTI / R?

And your back I'd imagine :p

Nah its actually not that bad to be honest , however I do have the DCC specced and it actually feels softer than the bongo Mk5 GT Golf that my other half has.

Comfort mode on the motorway is just soft soft , just been back from an airport run and was flicking between Comfort and Normal mode and I felt alright to be honest

Cant say what it is like on a non DCC 19" setup .

£2k + VAT initial payment though.
Works out about £211 inc vat per month all in, not too bad I guess.

Yup the deal is genuine, I enquired and got confirmation of the deal.

However, I think it is going to be too much hassle to swap my Fiesta ST 215 for one of these. It might be a slightly nicer car (no leather like my ST though and horrid tartan seats -eurgh!), but performance will be basically the same and it means having to sell a ~£12k car privately for it to make financial sense which will no doubt be a nightmare.

Regrettably I think I will stick with my plan of keeping the ST for a few more years - which is probably sensible as I have just paid it off and properly own it.

Great deal if it works for you though.

Edit - just been told the excess mileage is now tiered and with this engine I believe it is 10.8p a mile - this would be prohibitive for me anyway as I do ~13-14k miles a year.

I'm just quoting what people who know more have said but seems VW put the wrong numbers into the lease market on the GTi. Mileage has also changed this morning, again I am just quoting others knowledge not my own.

you sure - I just spoke to them 5 mins ago on facebook chat. no mention

Yup I believe so. I suspect if you order they will happily take it but it won't go very far before you get the call back "sorry, we got it wrong, but we can do this deal instead..."

yep. 9 out of 10 'good' deals turned out to be error/mistake etc

i'm getting a bit fed up chasing good deal PCP/lease.

same with wowcar/broadspeed. most of the prices listed on sites , dealers cannot match AFTER they emailed/phoned me saying they can do the deal. no idea where they got the prices first place.

fair enough - they have confirmed to me just now they've ordered 5 today and so far no issues from their end. But i'll wait and see,

Also this is a better deal over the term despite the 3 months up front - it's about £600 cheaper - http://www.bluechillicars.com/perso...k/golf-hatchback-20-tsi-gti-5dr-nav-108074534

They are in stock cars as well. Not 12-14 week waiting etc.

Order one then is my advice if you're confident but for what it's worth take all these deals at face value until the car arrives. It's a business full of cowboys, some good eggs out there of course, but loads of eejits.

well - paperwork is in, lets see what happens. On the surface of it, Black GTI 5 dr (NAV) manual, 3 weeks in stock car.

Wife just said one of the guys she works with has gone for one of these deals, looking around does seem to be some good prices advertised

Maybe some more genuine prices here, still seems a good deal!http://www.freedomcontracts.com/Volkswagen-Golf-2.0-TSi-GTI-5dr-DSG-Personal-Lease/2640

Hope that it is legit for the people who have gone for them, will be paying a fair bit more when my R finally arrives, but still cheaper than the company GTD that it's replacing!
