Who owns a Golf GTD / GTI / R?

Invest in an OBDeleven or if you know someone with a VCDS cable it will take 5 minutes to disable it permanently.

I could , but isn't it a MOT fail (not that I have to bother for over 2 years) if the stop / start doesn't function is totally disabled and not working as intended . I wonder if a VW dealer can set it to be defaulted off ?

Have you managed to pull many G's going round the estate?

Jokes aside, they are niceinside, so much nicer than they used to be. Now they've got rid of the ghastly blue dials

I will try later, I just need my baseball cap.

My only regret is that I did not get keyless entry. This means I have to put the key in the ignition rather than just pushing a button - I didn't realise the two were related.

No biggie, i'm just not used to it.

Congrats. Looks very good.

Looks like they have forgotten to remove the blue film from your steering wheel R logo in the PDI

Also you cant get Keyless on a 3 Door R anymore , so you are not missing out.

My 5 Door one , you just press the brake pedal and engine start/stop and it comes to life.

Probably for the best not getting keyless entry! car's are easier to steal with keyless entry and given that the Golf R, Fiesta ST and Audi S3 are the most targeted cars in the U.K you are better off taking that extra 1 second to use a key if it means extra security

If a thief wants the car , they will get it one way or another regardless if it is keyless or not.

The R and the ST is not even on the list of top 10 according to the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service

Audi S3: 8.6
Land Rover Defender: 5.8
Land Rover Range Rover: 3.8
Audi Q7: 3.7
Ford Escort: 3.6
BMW X5: 3.1
Audi A5: 3.1
Mitsubishi Shogun: 2.4
BMW 5 Series: 2.4
Toyota Hilux: 2.4

Per 1000 cars on the road.

Why would anyone steal a ford escort? Apart from ease i guess.

That list is a load of bull. I mean how many Escorts are still existing? I said the most "Targeted" car's are the 3 I listed. In 2016 the Police actually stated the most stolen car in a lot of area's was the Fiesta ST by far they were getting stolen by the handful every week due to the keyless entry. It got that bad in some towns that they we're actually stopping most Fez ST's they came across just to check driver details. It is a fact that the S3 is the most stolen and the Golf R is definitely catching it up.

Yeah love tech so it was a no brainier, is standard in the R
Chose:
Better audio
Reversing camera
Keyless entry
Rear airbags and seatbelt warning
Wireless phone charging

Pure white

Exactly.

Only good ones are left and that list is per 1000 cars.
