Why are Evri are so absolutely abysmal?

I used to do trunking work for Hermes (former name of Evri) back in my Stobart days, the way the depot staff handled parcels was astounding, basically everything is loaded on the trailer loose, no load restraints whatsoever, and at the other end it is literally either thrown onto the floor or into the conveyor they put in the back of the trailer.

Their damage rates must be off the scale, but, I guess you get what you pay for and judging by the number of depots they have, there’s plenty of cheapskate customers willing to get their parcels wrecked by these clowns!

Evri put a large multi-pack of cans on the first level of scaffolding above my door because I wasn't in. Aside from needing to be tall enough to retrieve it, you have to take it off with arms outstretched above your head. My wife would have been screwed if she lived alone.

I will do. 2 miles from here. Put a note saying it was found on (my road) and complain to Evri about it. Popped my first name and mobile number
Had a text from the receiver of the parcel. He says thank you ever so much for my good deed. Package is a large presentation cheque for his volunteer group is a founding member of, to the couple of charities the group raises for. Plus he's going to complain to Evri!

I hate this company so much, last year they “lost” my parcel (Christmas present) the first excuse was that they couldnt find the address (was beung delivered to the local post office) and then it just never got updated. This year i ordered a christmas present early as i knew they used herpes/evri and today i got this excuse

Im almost guaranteeing myself that it will be “lost” again. This is an item no bigger than a shoe box, and the newer version from the same place that they stole it from last year.

Utter joke of a company and no doubt i will be going back thru the refund process by the end of this week.

Last week, friend had her bin out as it was bin day. E-mail from Evri with photo with parcel in full bin at 8:20am. Her bin along with parcel was emptied 20 mins later. She’s is going through the motions of complaining

Wish couriers stop using bins to put parcels in. Had one placed in empty bin and was awkward to retrieve.
