Why are you not vegan....

Boris is now pandying to the vegan zeitgeist - policy to have a vegan option in schools ... so how much additional budget does that cost (setting up for multiple options)
versus free holiday meals, or dietary benefit of,now delayed, policy to remove high sugar foods near checkouts &342 on them.
About time we caught up with the 3rd world in this regard.

An ex partner of mine took me to a petting farm years ago to cheer me up and there was a hen eating a guinea pig alive!!

Well, the guinea pig had a huge open sore on its back and the hen was just standing on top of it, having a snack!!

We complained to the manager and demanded they take the guinea pig out and put it somewhere safe away from the horrible hen but it kinda ruined the day.
Hen should read this thread and see that we have decided that eating meat is wrong

I mean...... I guess you are putting a distant relative of a velociraptor in there........ ;)

cats are mean buggers as well. but that is just nature. they play with the animals they are killing and often don't even eat them after......

I wonder if any vegans have cats as pets?. imo they shouldn't really as they are enabling more cruelty than most meat processing.

Not really, the goal was to raise awareness of animal abuse, because while we're all aware we're eating dead animals, the amount of people that say the same stuff I used to say is staggering.

"as long as they've had a good life, and its quick death im ok with it" Well, they don't have a good life or a quick death in most cases.
No it wasn't. The original title of the thread, combined with the contents of your first post demonstrates precisely what was said earlier by @Angilion ...
Yes, but their goal isn't to improve anything. It's to have a fight, to win and to force everyone to obey them.

Your goal was NEVER to "raise awareness of animal abuse". it was to denigrate and belittle those who you see as "morally inferior"

I think he's trying to change the narrative now as all the rest of his arguments have been proven to be utter poppycock

Nope, I dont think people who eat meat are bad people, we've all been brought up this way so its been normalized. But I've gone over this time and time again if you're not getting it now you never will.

I'm guess proper vegans don't own cats then, as cat food requires the killing of animals?

I know there was some idiot trying to feed their obligate carnivore cat a vegan diet and made it very ill.

Owning a cat is enabling more cruelty than factory farming? You're supporting the 'meat processing' by owning a cat yes, but it has to eat meat.... but then we don't "need" to own cats I guess.

I'd never buy a cat/dog from a breeder.

Tried oatmilk for the first time the other day as i've been curious about it for a while and soy milk has no appeal to me at all. Got to say... i prefer it over normal milk (not that i really buy milk much)

Proper vegans shouldn't own anything and be solely self dependant living off the land in a hut. After all everything they bought has been made by some exploited Chinese man against his will. Why don't they stop buying that stuff? Even the electricity they used is made by some man that most likely had a bacon sandwich for breakfast.

What happens in those labour farms in the east is of no difference to how animals are treated in fact you could argue it is worse in some cases yet I bet Mr Vegan still has all his toys.

I made the provocative but factual statement that if you buy meat and dairy you pay for animals to be abused.

If you buy petrol or gas you pay for babies to be raped is an equally "factual" statement at the moment, but I'm guessing you aren't going to be stopping anytime soon?
