oh she killed it in the hulk... so if you dont know who it is then how do you know about it?

in the same corp :) we have forums as well :) and kill boards :) i dont know who the pilot is, and tbh I doubt Id post it up on here :)

In 0.0 if you rat you get the chance at good faction loot, and it does improve your sec status, but on an organised op with tank, barges and haulers, you should make far more money by mining

been playing for around 18 months so far sid was my original main before he was sold on eve-o last year ( didnt know who anue was :( ) my new main was in u'k for a couple of months before i came to the conclusion rp'ing wasnt for me so he's in a nub corp at the min until i get a new system build (waiting for a e6600 bloody intel  ) then i might start looking for a new corp, i'm thinking about going yarring that seems to be where a lot of the fun is at the min

For you to survive in the Eve universe you need to be self sustaining. Most Eve'rs i speak to have a min of 2 a/c's. 1 a/c is the money maker and the other is the PvPer fun time freddy.

The money maker has numerous routes to go down to make that cash and yes it does take a wee while.

The PvP'er well you can start that from day 1. Step outside your new station in your new ship and shoot something and see what happens !! rofl! Then go into low sec space and shoot anything that moves and so-on. Experience and skills do affect you but a 17mill SP player may not be as good as a 4mil player as it depends on what he has trained in. etc

The game is as fun as you make it, thats why EVE is so good. If you develop things in game they could be integrated into the EvE universe, thats how open it is.

And yes i have 2 a/c's

hi,

after giving it more time (and joining the OCUK corp) ive gotta say that i am loving this! I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about giving it a go, at least download the trial.

Anyway last night i was evemailed by an agent saying he had a good mission for me, it involves picking up 144 units of mindflood and returning them. After some research i found out that mindflood is a narcotic and wondered if anyone has any advice for this kind of mission as i dont wanna get my ass kicked by CONCORD!!

Cheers,

Matt

I've never really tried smuggling, but you basically want to avoid any gate that has customs officers at it. It might be worth having someone scout out the gates for you just so you don't warp into them and get taken apart :p

well the problem is i know there are customs people around as i have to take it back to the ocuk hq!! i read somewhere that it wouldnt be classed as narcotic if it was for a mission, but dont wanna risk it incase it is!

Dunno where you read that... it's not that uncommon for agents to ask you to smuggle illegal goods around, as far as I know.

from what i am aware of the smuggling system is buggered. I managed to get a small quantity of nerve sticks accross 27 jumps without been caught :D in a hauler. Although i had totally forgotten i had them and if i had been destroyed i wouldve gone crazy, mainly cos i had 1 taranis and 1 Ishkur in the cargo hold + faction fittings :p .

So its worth giving smuggling a try just dont bring expensive stuff along!

I orginally thought eve would be boring, as I was just mining and stuff when I was a noob. But it got better the more I played it.

Now I'm an ebil piwat though along with my ebil piwat corpmates in Turbulent and we just fly about (mainly in Placid) and cause trouble.

There's a lot of good eve vids about that will show you more of the combat side of things but for now here's a couple of the (admittedly amateur) vids made of us doing various things:

Turby killing a lvl 4 mission runner we probed down in Murethand. This guy lost his battleship, along with his logistic ship flying alt, and both pods. Needless to say he wasn't a happy bunny. Pay your ransoms kids.

Turby probing down another mission runner who paid his ransom and lived happily ever after, although in his pod... This one has poor audio but still worth a laugh.

Turby being jumped by an antipirate gang on the Ostingele-Stacmon gate

Turby being ambushed by an antipirate gatecamp in Agoze

There's loads to do apart from mining and trading. In pvp alone there's so many different roles to choose from, like battleships, covert ops ships, stealth bombers, interceptors, assault ships, command ships, carriers, dreadnaughts, all with different strengths and weaknesses. Not to mention all the other things you can do, like corp control, mercenary work, missions, ship/mod manufacture, scamming, and anything else you can think of really.

You're never bored in eve.
