Yes, but you have to run the update on your current install first.

Installed w10 on my lenovo mixx tablet and having problems...

no matter what i do I cant seems to do a complete reset inside windows after upgrading.. just keeps saying there was a problem and nothing was reset

Booted up this morning and my Win10 upgrade automatically activated,looks like I was right about Win10 servers being overloaded last night activation wise.

Yes I did that as some how the upgrade locked me out of my system lol.

So I formatted the ssd and clean install. Windows activation issues so I can see me installing 8.1 again and trying this again maybe when its all calmed down.

Hmm, got "inaccessible boot device"

Creation tool download for usb or iso stuck on 3% of different pc.

Knew I should have waited.

Getting this error when I try run the Media Creation Tool:

Set-up couldn’t start properly. Please reboot your PC and try running Windows 10 Setup again

Tried deleting $Windows.~Ws & $Windows.~BT folders but still doesn't work.

I'm going to hold off upgrading till I've decided on a new mobo or not qnd then perform the upgrade when a, it's safer b, when the new system will have more longevity

Installed on SP2 pro last night and enjoying the experience.

However, I'm not impressed with what they have done with onedrive synchronisation - a definite step backards from the windows 8 version for me

Yep, if your happy go for it.

Keep in mind that you won't be able to directly restore back though. Only through a complete re-install should you wish to go back to windows 7/8/8.1.

Have you tried with the the ISO for the Microsoft website?

I had an issue with my home made ISO doing that.

MS still hasn't sent me the upgrade. Maybe that's a good idea with all the win 10 issue so far. I'll wait a few weeks wins 8.1 is running better smooth for me atm

It should do, on your activation page is there an 'activation' button?

Do we have any concrete information about future hardware upgrades and licence activation.

Or roll back to previous OS and try again at a later date.

I had exactly the same, try booting into safe mode, does it then? It could take a few tries from experience, around 2-3 reboots! :eek:
