Oh well, no need to upgrade. I will be sticking to the original. The whole point is that I dont need a fancy RAID controller (My server has one in there, but there is no need for it), or the same sized discs (Ok, so there are 5 1tb disks in there). I don't need to mess about with RAID 1, or RAID 5, etc. Ive been down that road before, and I like simple. I like being able to switch off server, plug in disk, turn on server and choose add.
I don't have to wait for it to rebuild. I rarely use the remote access, maybe 2-3 times in the whole year? And the backup facility is nice, but nothing that sets it apart from every other product out there.
Oh wait, the OEMs don't like it because you then HAVE to buy the RAID controller, the identical discs etc.
Seems a very very strange descision by MS, and a completely backward step. Might as well just go and buy XP instead.
