Another good episode and I'm looking forward to the last one. Was a shame to miss out the battles but I understand because of the budget although they could have done a lot better with the capture of Jamie. Just a scene of him riding into the trap and the Stark horsemen charging down the sides of the hill would have done. For people not reading the book, they have no idea what went on at Riverrun either :(.

Even though the series has missed out a fair amount of side detail, I'm preferring it over the book. The characters aren't as frustrating or annoying as they are in the book.

He fought in the battle and managed to kill a horse!

Just out of interest how far into the first book was the battle, if the TV series reflecting the book in that the last episode should cover the end of the book? No spoilers please, just wondering if the pacing between the book and series are off or not.

Ned's head was removed about 3/4 of the way into the book and the battle happened shortly after that if I recall correctly.

There was a lot of story still told after the beheading but they managed to rush through about 200 pages worth with that episode considering they condensed or outright skipped a lot of it.

It was quite frustrating that they basically wrote Tyrion out of the battle. In the book he plays a much more active roll and actually makes some headway in earning his fathers respect. I'm not sure if its spoiler worthy really to explain the battle because I’m not sure if they intend to rework this element in at a later date so I've added it in spoiler tags (i know we dont have spoiler tags btw).

In the book, along with the clans he is placed on the left to guard the river and is considered expendable by his father. When he returns alive having killed some of Robs men himself his father expresses some level of remorse for his positioning.

In the series he seemed to be purposely knocked out by some bloke with a hammer :S

FWIW the battles happened before the beheading, the battles were in chapters 63 & 64 and Ned was beheaded in chapter 66. There are 73 chapters. I don't think they covered anything in that episode that wasn't covered before the beheading in the book. So in time to episode ratio they are about right.

It was by accident as all the psychos were running to battle.

Tyrions droll recounting of the Hillman inter-tribal conversations and politics were one of the highlights of the show for me. He is by far my favourite character at the moment.

Sahara Knite in episode 7 she was one of them in the girl on girl action in the whore house

edit and the other was Sibel Kekilli

glad to see a fellow fan :p

2 minutes on my favorite fap site and I can confirm that she was indeed a pornstar...think she's had a bit of work done now though, she looked dog rough in her previous "movies" ;)

think she had a nose job done (midgets whore). also sahara has done pretty much everything porn wise, hope to see her again in the series.

better than all this bickering about staying true to the book. if you want a series to stay 100% true to the book, then your better off making your own series, can anyone tell me of a single series which has been 100% true to the book they are based on? :o
