Yep, Martial, Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho and Elanga. Martial and Rashford have obviously been used up front a fair bit too but all have primarily been left sided forwards over their various lengths of career. I think if the Rashford to PSG rumours had developed in the summer then someone like Gakpo would have made sense but right now we need a striker, right back and then a midfielder over the next few windows.

I think there was talk of ETH trying to develop him as a striker, but you're right, an actual striker would be better.

Well, exciting signing! Would prefer to see us dropping that money on a midfielder, but it's so blatant that we need one, that we must have somebody else in mind, know what they'll cost, and have they cash set aside. I hope!

Mudryk watching arsenal game. Hopefully close to agreeing a deal with shaktar?

Given the injuries to the front line, we really needed a new one

I guess Gakpo is a risk but will be massive egg on face if he turns out to be a world beater. United would have missed out on Haaland, Bellingham and Gakpo whilst being the first club to have any real interest in them!
Sadly, for someone of his calibre 37m isn't really a risk.

He's no less likely to succeed than players like Diaz, Sancho, etc and is costing less than them

Ridiculous market, but that's football!

Is Milner primarily a right back? No he isn't. Keep talking nonsense though to cover your whoopsie.
Whoopsie?

Why do you get so upset? United have been linked to Gakpo for ages, youve just been beaten to the punch and you take it so personally.

Ill rephrase if it helps.

It's like listing James Milner as a reason to not sign a midfielder / pick a position. You'd ideally not see him play but he does a job, if the opportunity comes up to sign a replacement who is touted as being far superior or has the potential to be then you sign him especially when the fee is 37mil.

All signings have an element of risk, id argue this is a small risk transfer though tbh.
