Don
Nice signing.
He played all over the place for Holland. Off the right in the first few games, behind the front two as a AMC in the next, off the left in another.Transfermarket are crap for formations and positions
Nice signing.
Elanga has played most of his games at man u at RW according to transfermarket...Milner has played 24 games at right back according to TM (4% of his games). Martial has played 127 games at left wing (38% of his games)
Do you see the difference?
I didnt watch any WC games, just more commenting on Shami's crazy assertionsHe played all over the place for Holland. Off the right in the first game, behind the front two as a AMC in the next, off the left in another.
No point looking at sites showing formations when we can see it in a match.

Really well, one of the better players in the tournament.I didnt watch any WC games, just more commenting on Shami's crazy assertions
How did he perform at the WC anyway?
He was very good at the WC, very good indeed. Lived up to the hype imo. If only the Dutch had gone deeper in the tournament he might have even had a run at the golden bootI didnt watch any WC games, just more commenting on Shami's crazy assertions

Can't see that, unless we get a really solid offer. I think there's still an argument that Jota is more effective than Diaz. And he can play centrally too.Gakpo was one of the standout players at the cup IMO and its certainly a good price. I really didnt think he was on our radar though, I figured we were more interested in Enzo, Bellingham and Amrabat as those fill positions we need. Gakpo plays hugely more often as a left winger, where we already have Diaz and Jota. So now we have Gakpo, Diaz and Jota all vying , effectively, for that one slot. Is this a prelude to selling on Jota I wonder? Surely for left winger , Jota would now be 3rd choice.
I believe that he had a pretty low release clauseReally well, one of the better players in the tournament.
Can't believe its only 37m, is he in his final year or something going that cheap
Didn't you not see him at the WC?Can yes, but also doesn't very often. Most of his games are on the left, every single game this season for example.
He's played a single game in his career as an attacking midfield according to transfermarkt but sure if you want to count that as 'can play'
Didn't you not see him at the WC?
Played on the right mostly in the first two or three games, behind a front two against Senegal. Think one game he played on the left and that was hes least effective game.
Well, firstly it was others calling out your craziness in claiming you had 5 left wingers, which you then doubled down on claiming the likes of Martial and Elanga fit the bill when they play the vast majority of games for you in other positions. I just commented that Transfermarket isn't a very reliable source for player positions.because we have so many left wingers and one right winger. When Antony wasn't here in preseason and when he was injured one of them moves to the right, usually Sancho or Elanga.
I don't see why you are just digging so hard after you made a silly comment instead of just going "whoops, my mistake"
First of all you tried to claim I was saying we had 5 top quality options (I did no such thing) Now you're trying to claim you know where Utd players play better than me
It was the same in Nations league games. LVG obviously see's him more than a left forwardI'm talking club play. He played all over the shop at the World cup because LvG changed his front 3 almost every game. He was playing split striker a bit with bergwijn, think he played once in the central role Klaason was playing.

4-2-3-1 incoming for us!Can't see that, unless we get a really solid offer. I think there's still an argument that Jota is more effective than Diaz. And he can play centrally too.
