Martial has played almost 50:50 games left wing and striker for us.
Make your mind up for christ sakeMartial has played 127 games at left wing (38% of his games)

Doesn't matter which player it is or where they normally play for other clubs, LVG mainly plays Gakpo behind a front two or on the right of a two.Well he also didn't play wide forwards in the same way a 4-3-3 is. Bergwijn played up front most of the time but I doubt anyone in here would call him a striker.
so 45% as a lw for you, so the majority of his game time somewhere else... he is as much of a left winger at man u as milner is a rb for usomnom must love you. Every time he says a silly you come in and make him look like Einstein.
Here is a hint for you, Martial has played for more than one club.
Didn't see it either.Neither did I as when the lads come back we do have a lot of forwards. Makes me think Bobby isnt signing a new deal and Gakpo is his replacement and we are doing a Diaz by getting him early.
37mil apparently.

You said primarily. So right back is Milner's second most played position then is it? And he's played almost half his games there? If so then yeah sure. But I don't think that is true and you just can't admit you are wrong.

Those were your words.
I'd be happy with Gakpo now, Amrabat at some point as well in the Jan window and Bellingham in the summer.Didn't see it either.
I mean we need a midfielder but an attacker was also required.
I still hope we get Enzo or Bellingham but don't see it happening in January for them
Amrabat would bolster the numbers but I don't see him improving us or really giving our midfield what it needs.I'd be happy with Gakpo now, Amrabat at some point as well in the Jan window and Bellingham in the summer.
I think Amrabat can be snapped up for around 35m, so Gakpo and Amrabat for circa 70m would be great business imo.
He really impressed me in the World Cup, was one of the best defensive midfielders in the tournament imo, would be a great alternative to FabinhoAmrabat would bolster the numbers but I don't see him improving us or really giving our midfield what it needs.
He had a good world cup I agree however if we need cover for Fabinho we have it already. He really impressed me in the World Cup, was one of the best defensive midfielders in the tournament imo, would be a great alternative to Fabinho
For me the plus with Amrabat is that he is sub 30 years old. Although we have cover for Fabinho, much of our defensive midfielders are too old or not good enoughHe had a good world cup I agree however if we need cover for Fabinho we have it already.
We need a more creative aspect and abit more of a goal threat from midfield. He doesn't provide that
the Anfield Wrap are really pushing Enzo Fernandez to be tied up in the January window, take that with as much salt as you want.He had a good world cup I agree however if we need cover for Fabinho we have it already.

I agree. Talk is Benfica want the release clause in full, €120m which we will never pay. Short of PSG and City I can’t see anyone paying it either. Benfica sell players every season, they don’t need the money. We absolutely need reinforcements in defensive midfield. The club knows it that's why they went for Tchouameni last season (and obviously couldn't get him). Our midfield has lost the insane ball-winning ability it had a couple of years ago which our style of football absolutely needs, and with Fabinho almost 30 and Henderson on the wrong side of 30 it's not getting any better without reinforcements.
Agree we also need creative players too, but defensive cover is more urgent.
As much as I want that to happen I just can't see us paying the release clause.
