Interesting that there are multiple warnings on the Dell site not to mount this monitor in portrait orientation.

While it's not something I'd be considering anyway, I'm curious why that is (I would more than likely be rotating it 90 degrees whilst setting it up - much easier to plug cables in from the side than bottom)
Is this some peculiarity to how OLED runs? Due to weight distribution of the electronics? Something to do with the position of cooling vents?
I can't imagine it's an issue when the monitor is switched off, otherwise it would never survive shipping where it could end up in any orientation!
Maybe they're being sly and selling us plasma's instead. That juicy dithering.
D'oh, if you turn it on it's side all the colours fall to the bottom!
Yeah, that was my concern. So in theory, if I take the top off and turn it upside down carefully I could pour the OLEDs on my desk and just get rid of the screen completely?
Only Dell will be selling this. Will OCUK be selling the AW3423DW on the UK release date?
More of a preview really, doesnt tell us anything we dont already know. Bit misleading of them to call it a "hands on" when it seems to just be a guided demo from Sony?
