X3:Terran Conflict has arrived

Loving this game and I haven't even shot anyone. I don't know what they have done. But enjoying it much more than x3. I think it''s just due to being easier to start ie. make money.

Can#t wait to do what I did in x2 and just destroy every single station in the inverse. One sector at a time.. Humm now what's the heaviest beadist armoured ship out there for such a demolition task.

God question! Depends how you want to go about it. There's the M2M missile ships that can make a right mess of stations and other capital ships, however they are very limited in terms of normal weaponry. If you want something that can rain death on everything I'd go with an M2. My Personal favourite is the Split Python :D

However in my save I've just stuck with an M7 Split Python as the ship of choice for destruction, I can take down any M2 in the game in a 1on1 situation and so long as I don't get ridiculously outnumbered I barely go below half shield. Ofcourse I could always bring in my other ships for cover - but where is the fun in that!

Anyone want to buy a Mercury Cargo bay full of Ore? No one in any of the Argon sectors wants Ore anymore. Ill take any price above 50 per unit.

Didnt think that this would happen, but I flooded the market just like in real life, now I cant get rid of it..... :P

Yes, plus the AI traders quickly fill up trade holes. Make sure you upgrade your engines to get there before the AI traders. Also save before a trade run (especially with ore!).

I know I could dig through the ego forum and find this out. but being lazy.

Whats the next ship I shout be saving for above the mercury for rading and a starter combat ship to get an enforcement license to start getting a combat rating?

You probably want to be looking at the bulk trading ships with jump drives. In which case the your looking at the Mercury Tanker or Super Freighter class ships, when fully expanded can haul 10,000 units? Considerably slower BUT the large haulage ability more than makes up for it.

Combat rating can be increased by a decent M4 or M3 setup... M4s do well against most 'fighter' class ships, although the M3 is the better but more expensive option.

Is anyone playing this, or X3 reunion, with an X52?
I can't for the life of me get the X52 to work in Reunion, it just hates me. Couldn't really see a specific game profile either.

What you should be saving up for is a nice shiny M7, fully equiped they can lay waste to entire fleets.

there are profiles avaliable for the stick have a look in the egosoft forums its there somewhere.

another quick question on the hud there's a blue and a green bar. Whats the green bar? and how do you replenish it.

Blue bar = shields
Green bar = damage

I think... I'm quite new to it though. :o

You can repair damage by ejecting and using your repair laser on the ship. :)

Can anyone help me? I started as a trader, and I've saved up enough for the mk3 trading command thingy, but I can only find it at one place, and they wont sell it to me. :(

Is there any friendlier place to get it? Or failing that... how do I make them like me?

If memory serves, the green bar represents the hull of your ship. It takes damage by being fired on when your shields are depleted entirely, or from special weaponry that bypasses shielding and damages the hull directly.

Your options to replenish it in the early game: eject from your ship and fire your spacesuit's repair laser at it (free, takes forever) or dock at a shipyard and pay for repairs (immediate, extremely expensive).

Do missions for them (just comm any station showing a mission symbol in an area of space controlled by that race, speak to the person aboard the station with the symbol next to their name. Accept and complete the mission and your rank will rise).

Rep is actually pretty easy to grind out in TC, and I didn't find it that much of an obstacle to progress or trade. The quickest way of raising it that I found was to buy a cheap, fast M5, get the life support addon and do the taxi missions where you just take a person or persons from A to B. You will complete them in no time at all and so your rank will rise very quickly.

Hi guys.
New X3TC player here, looking for some traiding advice.
I started traider story. Just accomulated around 5 millions(found and sold a few ships and some stock) and have Mercury and Mamba ships.
What do I do now? Im a bit lost... I thought to use Mercury to start traiding. But have no clue how to set it up... Looked at command software mark 3 software but I have no idea how to use it...

Please help!

Sorry for my English :)

Hi, I only play X3:R, but I think a lot is the same. Not sure if the menu navagation is the same, but once you get the Mark3 software, then you can select the ship, command console, trade menu, and then 'start sector trade'. You pick your sector and it starts looking for the best buys and selling them in that sector.

I just got one guy doing this, but the fact he is limited to the one sector is annoying. And he often only fills up the cargo bay to a third capacity or so, wish he could trade across a few sectors. From reading the manual, after sector trading for a while they can then move up to universal trading.

If it's the throttle your having problems with you need to untick the throttle in input devices, that should sort out the problem.

you can get mk3 trader from the terracorp hq(home of light) or any telardi equipment dock.

With 5m in the bank i would buy a TP and start training marrines. Once you have them to about 3 stars look for lone M7M's or higher TL's and order them to pirate space and capture them (easy money). Once you have a M7M then you can look at captureing M7's, M2's and M1's.

Another thing you can do is start some of the plots.

Ok I have started playing the game and have come across some very annoying glitches and just wanted to see if its cos my system isn't upto the job or if other people have these problems.

First off is that sometimes my joystick (Saitek Force Feedback) will just stop working, it seems to happen when i click on a menu or open the sector map or something. Its very annoying!!!

I also have trouble opening the Sector Map and the one that shows all the Places you can go. I will press the button but they won't come up or they appear and then suddenly disapear.

Now if i turn down the graphics as there set quite high could this solve these issues do you think?

Strange problems never come accross them my self, or have i?????

1) A joystick should keep working in all menu's but i do think that it will pause on a keypress when you navigate the menu. Is this what you are seeing?

2) sector maps i have had a condition where the the Keyboard refresh rate seems to screw up (ie you press a key and it sends 10-20 key presses, instead of one) to fix this alt-tab to windows and back again.

3) i dont think dropping the gfx settings will solve the problem, it only tends to solve lag related issues.

[edit]
nothing wrong with your system spec it should be able to run the game maxed. Although the game is a real memory hog, 2Gb will run the game but 4+ is recommended.
