Willing to spend £450 on marked improvements at 1080p? No thanks
OCUKers have been spending more than that over the years on graphics cards

I'm not even that bothered of talk of 30/60 fps caps. As long as the game plays ok.
To be honest there are stacks of games that run fine at 30FPS.Definitely one of the more bizarre comments I've read on the internet today... as though somehow 30FPS in a game won't be a crucial factor in whether that "game plays OK" or not lol! Have you played a game locked at 30FPS? It's really not "OK"!
I think your comment pretty much sums up the attitude of the majority of the console generation though... there seems to be little care for anything other than how things look. The one note orgasmic response to the Scorpio eye candy that's come out of E3 is testament to that.
As mentioned, a GTX1070 alone starts at £420.. for around 6TFlops of performance..
True enough, while 60 is obviously better than 30 some games play ok at 30 on consoles (or even PC).
Its not like 30hz gives you eye cancer or something like some people would have you believe. It very much depends on the game.
I'm also OK with the price, £399 would have been amazing, but VFM wise it's fine as launch prices go.
£349 for the PS4P - 4.2TFlops, 8GB DDR5, Normal Blu-ray
£449 for the X1X - 6TFlops, 12GB DDR5, UHD Blu-ray

Perfectly valid reason.
Don't tempt me to sell my PC lol.Even a system with GTX 1070 probably isn't able to offer what the console will.
The for £440 the XBOX kind of makes building a PC look silly.
The Oculus Rift is probably the last VR headset to go for right now.
It's AMD powered so you can't compare it with nvidia tflops, it's closer to an Amd 580 in pure performance.I'm also OK with the price, £399 would have been amazing, but VFM wise it's fine as launch prices go.

Indeed. Some games do look nice at 30fps.
wasn't going to bother getting this untill i saw Forza 7 in HDR. Don't really need one as have ps4 pro and 980ti pro PC with dell 27inch gsync which would probably struggle at 4k at 60fps on my 49inch KS7000, so as i need a 4k UHD player and the pro doesn't cater for this (big mistake Sony) and along with the fact that a 1080ti is £600 to £750 i will go for a xbox one x this November.
