I don't think its all that great value either. There's no absolute must haves or must plays on there and the older games that are worth having can be had on ebay for not a lot more than a months subscription anyway.

Lucky when you don’t have to pay a penny because of Microsoft Rewards. :p

There’s a ton of stuff on GP I would never have played and some games have gone on to be my all time favourites. And as someone who has been disc-less for years, it’s saved me a packet. I’m very grateful for it.

Are you sitting there every day farming points in edge? Because from what I can see thats the only way to get anything worthwhile on that program.

On a separate note I researched why I wasnt getting notifications when games on wishlist are on sale or leaving gamepass. Apparently they do it via console notifications only and its been bugging out for months. :(

Game Pass Friends and Family is now official.

Their original plan from the xbox one days, but now the timing is right. If the family shares one console it isnt needed though.

Not at all. Some people read the newspaper over breakfast, others sit and watch TV. I just rattle off my Bing searches instead. :p The other stuff happens once a week and might take half an hour with Reward Hunter's YouTube channel.

Okay my Gamepass sub has run out, what's the cheapest way to re-up?
I know you used to be able to buy Xbox live and convert for £1 - which I did years ago.

Does that still work?

Sort of.

You still stock up on live via the cheapest way you want like before, but you then just subscribe to ultimate for £10 and it'll convert it to ultimate like it did before. I'm afraid the £1 offer has finished!

This is just a tip that I was unaware of. If you remove the controller batteries and use a USB c phone charger you can use the controller (I thought it was just a charging port). This has the advantage of making the controller much lighter and you don't have to worry about battery charges.

Seemed like yesterday they were talking about making gamepass a final fantasy haven, and not long after they put the last few FF there, they now leaving in droves. I do feel for sure now 12 months is just too short a time as a retention period.

Where do you get these notices and can they be had on a mailing list for automatic delivery?

Thanks, seems not even a RSS feed available. :(

The mobile app notifies about games that are leaving.
Checking app now

options to notify for the following (which are all already on and not getting anything anyway).

games added to gamepass (not removed)
sales and events
subscription alerts, expiry etc.
install started
install ended
game invites

No option for games leaving gamepass :(

I see a notify icon top right which shows games leaving but it requires me to interact with it, what I need is automated push notifications or an email alert.

Its as if Microsoft have done it deliberate to make people keep checking their app and website. There must be a non interactive way to get these alerts.

There may not be a defined notification option to tick in the app but it absolutely does send a notification for games leaving. It's something along the lines of these games are leaving and letting you know you can buy them at a discount while still in game pass. I received around the start of the month. I don't think they are purposely trying to hide anything. They clearly want you to purchase these games which I have done on a few occasions like Hades for example. It's also prominent in the gamepass app with the leaving soon column on the main page being higher than recently added or most popular.
