Has there been any updates to the Series X game DVR yet ?? Recording party chat is what I'm wanting.

Recording the voice conversation of the party?
Only downside i can see is data rights ie recording others might breach something?

Although i cant see why you'd want it, do you have an example of when you would use it ?

Posting videos/clips on YouTube most likely.

Discord works on xbox now no? Can that not auto record?

AFAIK there isn't a rule against recording party chat, (given how much it happens with game vids on social sitea/streaming etc) but may be wrong.

Whenever i put a fully charged battery into my xbox series x controller it's coming up as only medium charged, any ideas why that might be? more bloody annoying than anything.

so would it be better getting a 32" TV or monitor.

In my little office I've only got space for a 32" something for my Series S. I can get a 1080p tv for next to nothing but would a larger monitor be worth the extra cost? What are people plugging their consoles into within their man caves?

I have a 43" 1080p TV connected to my Series X. Perfectly happy with it. I got the TV for free.

If it'll just be used for the console then a TV is better as it's much cheaper, and you have a remote. I've played my xbox to my monitors before, and found it annoying to change the volume, turn it off etc.

I have a Series X but I think the Series S is probably better value. One nice thing about having the optical drive was being able to play physical Xbox One games, but the downside to physical media is somehow I've managed to lose the main game I was playing (Forza Horizon 3) and I'm not allowed to download it with a physical copy.

My series X has almost always been used with wired connection. Tried over Christmas to game on it using WiFi and it was terrible (not a server issue). Bought a lengthy Ethernet for the new flat and it's perfect since.

Naturally it's well out of warranty now, but I reckon that it's a fault with my console itself. Anyone had a similar experience?

It's like the ping is 20 for a few seconds, then 200, and cycles between. Nothing else struggles for gaming on the Wi-Fi (AC26/800 can't remember which).

Are there any other devices near the xbox or is your xbox in a cabinet or behind anything? I know when i sat mine behind a sofa chair the signal dropped quite badly. Not to the point of 200+ ping like your saying. How far is it to the router? Tried 2.4 & 5 Ghz bands ?

Maybe i am wrong but isn't there a speed test or bandwidth test on the xbox you can also see what its saying.

Tried it sat in the centre of the floor by itself as well as beside the TV (with nothing in the way of the router). Nothing seems to make any difference.

Rather annoying as it's perfectly fine until it's something competitive or fast paced.

Rechargeable batteries tend to be 1.2v instead of the 1.5v of the normal ones.

Nowt you can do about that.
