Is Ubisoft+ part of game pass like EA or do you have to pay extra?

Edit - nevermind found it in the store, for some reason I thought it would be part of GamePass ultimate but it's not it's a separate subscription

There was a rumour going around it would be part of game pass ultimate but i guess ubisoft want to see itself trying it alone.

Personally this will fall flat on its face for two reasons,

1) All of there games go on sale at heavily discounted rates and most people already have them
2) Game Pass has better value and wider range of games and you get 3 years of it.

I was looking at the multi-format option but in NZ its $24 per month; I can pick most back catalogue games up for cheaper than that and with the limited releases from Ubi that I play I'd never actually benefit from the new release stuff as I buy that discounted too... GamePass works due to the huge library and different publishers; Ubisoft+ is just a singular publisher and limited in scope much like EA Play was before merging with GamePass.. I'll be skipping this as I did on the PC.

I'm using a release day series X controller that came with the series X and I've always thought the controller build quality wise felt cheap and not very nice to use.

Have the controllers been improved at all if I was to buy a new one ?

I don't think there has been any revisions to the standard controller. I never had a problem with it at all, until I purchased the elite controller. Now if I get caught out with flat batteries and have to go back to the original it feels horrendous to use.

Hi all,

Need a little help, got my son an Xbox series x for his birthday and I also have a series x.

Iv been told that if I sign into his Xbox and set myself as 'home Xbox' then my son signs into my Xbox and sets himself as 'home Xbox' he will be able to access all of the games pass games / play at the same time etc?

Is this right?

If you are the one with the subscriptions then only the first step is needed. You sign into son's Xbox and set it as Home. He doesn't need to go anywhere near yours unless he has subscriptions/games of his own that you want to play on your Xbox.

Perfect,

Yes I have all the subscription to game pass etc,
So to confirm all I need to do is set myself up on my sons xbox as Home they he can access all the games pass stuff.

Will we both be able to play together etc?

Thanks!

Yes, the only time you won't is if you can't connect to the internet on your Xbox (because it's no longer your home console you'll need to be online at all times).

Another thing IIRC, is that your son won't be able to install games from Game Pass himself or use Xbox Cloud streaming. So if he wants to play something new, you'd have to log in and install it to the system first.

Battery life on the Elite 2 is excellent. But, I prefer the feel of the standard controller. It's lighter weight, smaller and the plastic it's constructed with provides good grip. In contrast the rubber grips on the Elite 2 make my hands sweaty/clammy.

My perfect controller would be the size/weight/grip of the standard Series X controller, combined with the customisation & paddles of the Elite 2 and the haptics from the PS5 dualsense controller. And another feature I'd take from the Series X controller would be the option to use rechargeable batteries / battery pack.

Thats great thank you for checking!

It's great isn't it.

My brothers xbox is set as my home, and he's in Canada while I'm in the UK. We just go 50/50 in games if we want to both play them. Makes buying games much less painful, though it doesn't stop the pain of buying a game, not having time to play it for a while, and then it gets added to xbox game pass.

Nonetheless the feature is good, as is xbox game pass. I feel Microsoft are currently doing well with the overall service they provide. I will miss these days when they are finally a massive monopoly, owning all the game studios, and double all the prices of games and game pass.

It reminds me of the days when deliveroo first came to the UK. I'd order food, complain the canned drink was warm and chips cold, and instantly get a full refund no questions. Now you pay way too much for delivery, have to tip to have your food delivered in less than an hour even then, you watch your food drive to 3 other houses. Any issues with the food, customer service doesn't care.

Downloaded Redfall today as it was on Game Pass. I know it might not live up to the hype and be lacking a 60fps mode, but it looks reasonably interesting and will kill a few hours I suppose. Can't complain if its free to download on Game Pass!!

Finished Atomic Heart, which I have to say in my opinion was rather underwhelming although it wasn't a 'bad' game, I just felt it started out reasonably promising then got a bit staid.

Back to Cyberpunk 2072 for a bit until Redfall unlocks, I guess!!!

I'm not bothering with Redfall until they release the 60fps mode. I think it's a bit dung that they advertise "the most powerful console in the world" and a flagship game can't hit 60fps on release.

I downloaded Far Cry 5 on a whim, not a huge fan of Ubisoft games and didn't like 4 that much but I'm quite enjoying this one for now

Same, I will wait and anyone else who prefers to play in 60fps should as well, no one should be supporting this rushed practise to release a game on a deadline with a half baked product.
It will only carry on like this until gamers make a stance and don’t buy/play the games until they are the finished product.

Same, won't touch it until I can play at 60 fps. There are plenty other games coming out to occupy me in the meantime.

Happy to see MS finally offer an option of VRR ‘only in games’. Means I can watch streaming apps on there without game mode activating and having to constantly turn VRR off.
