Is there a decent third party remote control for playing DVDs and Blu-rays?
I'm not 100% sure, in that the last remote I bought was for the original Xbox! I don't think MS released a media remote for the Series S|X, although remotes that work on Xbox One should work, so 8bitdo or PDP etc.

You do have access to HDMI-CEC in the settings so you can use your TV remote to control the Xbox. Apologies if known.

I've got a PDP remote that I bought for my Xbox One S that works fine on my Series X.

MW3 is dropping onto Game Pass today.

looked at install options earlier on the Xbox (via manage game/addons) and gives option to also install MW2 Campaign etc (as well as MW3 Campaign) - are they included or will they just download and then be "locked" as not owned

doesn't normally give you option to download items that are not purchased (so to speak)

Any worthwhile deals on the XBox Series X consoles? Have looked on Hot UK Deals, etc but nothing showing other than for 2nd hand Consoles... Not keen on them though as most have had a hard life...

Can I assume getting the X version over the other ones is worthwhile?

tested it - allows you to install but can't run - says need to purchase

Need help as im getting lost with microsoft set up for profiles!

So my son has a series s at his mums house which has my profile on it and his, both have game pass ultimate subs of our own as of today. He has a series s at my house again with both profiles on. I know that the series s at his mum house is set to the home consol (unsure if this matters)

When at mine we both want to play apex legends together amongst other games however if on series s at mine he only signs in his profile and tries to launch apex and other games he is told product owner profile needs to sign in, of course if i sign mine in then we cant play anything together as my profile cant be used on pc then as its saying its in use already as the xbox at mine has me and him signed in.

I dont understand why this is happening only on some games.

Can any one help?

EDIT: Okay ive resolved the above issue had to go to the store and he had to select get in the store and it now says he owns them too!

However apex it will not let him send me an invite or accept one due to ea privacy settings which i cannot find anywhere to change them, this is ridiculous :s
All his xbox settings directly are changed to open, he can search friends etc but cannot send me an invite just has warning on friends page that privacy settings, i cant however log in even online as when i login to my ea profile his child account doesnt show so there is no way.

His friends list does show me though but mine on pc doesnt but i think thats due to me being on pc perhaps :s

EDIT3: After many hours trying to resolve this turns out its EA and there stupid rules.

An EA Child Account is not allowed regardless of settings to cross play with others even if the setting is on as it greys it out in the menu when looking, so he can see that im online (when am on pc) but it wont let anything actually reach me and it also stops me from searching him as it never finds him as his account is a child account.

So only way we can apex together is xbox > xbox

XB is dead not worth buying one.

So, I have a question. I cannot play 360 games on my Series X. And I mean ones that you can play on Xbox. I tried putting in GTA IV and Oblivion, Both came up with "Getting your Xbox 360 info..." and just stays there. Nothing happens. I'm really confused.

I'm looking for a new game to play. I need something I can hop in and out of for short games. Recently I've been playing CoD and Rocket League but I'm looking for something new.

Any suggestions welcome :D.

Over the last few days, I swapped my PS5 for the Xbox Series X.

Whilst I do love some of the Sony exclusives, all the main ones come to PC within a few years and with a backlog I will never ever get through, I'm in no rush to play them day one.

One of the main reasons I got a Series X is the ability to play certain games on my PC and then later in the evening, I can load up the same game on my Xbox and carry on where I left off. And to add on top of that, most Xbox games these days are buy on Xbox or PC, and you can play it on the other; no need to buy it twice!

Game Pass is of course another reason, £15 to be able to play all those games on my PC and Xbox is too good a value. I never felt PS Plus was worth the price as most of the games on there were not my cup of tea and no 1st party exclusives (outside a select few) were included, just free trials.

Quick Resume... game changer. I used to be able to play the same game solidly for days/weeks on end but nowadays I tend to swap around every few hours and quick resume means I can jump straigt back in where I left off within a few minutes. As a father of 2, being able to jumo straight back in for a little while is a great feature to have.

So far I'm very impressed and glad i jumped back over to Xbox.
