Thanks for the reply, I'd rather not get a glass one due to the dust risk, so like the Hazros are the none glass ones glossy?

I would also prefer a range of inputs (unless they cost a lot more) so I I'll have to do some searching when I've got some time.

You gonna review yours when you receive it?

That I'm not too sure about, sorry I should've stated that in my reply. I've seen it mentioned in the OCN thread, there's also a fairly large thread on these monitors on Hard forums so you might want to do some reading through there. The OCN thread also has an FAQ section in the first post which covers the inputs, models with several inputs, etc which you might find handy.
I'll do a mini review of mine when it gets here, sure, and take lots of pictures too. Any questions you have, I'm happy to answer when it arrives, and any tests you might want me to do too.

Can anyone that has one of these monitors tell me if you needed to change plugs over or buy a converter I want to make sure I have everything for when it arrives I take it, it's the same you use for any monitor or PS3 etc.

Last thing I want is for it to get deliverd and I cant power it up.

Many Thanks

Doesn't the brick use a standard power cable such as the one you get with a new PSU? Think quite a few people have plenty of those around - massive savings right there! ;)

There are talks of the brick/adaptor being temperamental and sometimes not giving enough power. Some people are replacing them with a better one however these reports are all coming from US purchasers so maybe it'll be fine here with our 240v sockets (although the monitor is only 12v)

@CaptainUnlikely, I just had a look at the listing for the one you ordered and in the pics it shows a DVI port but in the specs it mentions d-sub (I thought this was vga which doesn't support 1440p :S), hdmi & component, no DVI though...

I wonder what you'll get? :p

Hmm...I'll have to take another look when I get home, at work on my phone right now. It better have a DVI port! I might send the seller a message just to confirm.

Nice one, Many thanks :D

No problem :)

Yeah, I've heard some have been running hot, but 240V generally gives better efficiency so maybe that will help. There are replacement adapters available for around $30, but I'm not certain the pinout matches up. They take a funky 4 pin connector for power which isn't too common.

When mine arrives i'll take the adaptor to some local shops to see if they have any similar just in case.

I cant wait. Cant believe I only ordered this morning and its on its way already:

Very tempted by one of these, but I'd need to buy a £60 adaptor to let my macbook air output to it... brings to cost up to £300.. hmm.

@CaptainUnlikely

cant wait to see your pictures of the super pcbank, at the moment i am kinda 50/50 on the normal one or the super one. would like an o.k. stand but like you said , if its terrible will get a vesa stand for it.

Is the normal one any cheaper?
I could only find the super ones when I was looking, reading on one of the other threads and someone had sent a seller a message asking about the difference, the seller said the super one just had a better stand and they were no longer selling the standard model because it was too flimsy - something like that anyway.

If These monitors come with a standard 2 pin plug and the power brick is rated at 240v then all you should need is a 2 pin to 3 pin adaptor which cost about £2

The one I bought actually comes with one :) but I'll just change the lead as it takes a standard 3 pin connector just like a PC PSU.

I checked the description again for the inputs, and under "Description" right down at the bottom, DVI-D Dual Link is listed. Strange that it mentions D-Sub as that is indeed VGA, but it also says it takes HDMI and component in along with optical and audio out /shrug
Guess we'll see when it arrives heh, I'm expecting audio in (for the built in speakers, not that I'll ever use them) and DVI, nothing else.
