I can't stand having warmer than cold pillows. As soon as my pillow heats up from my head I have to flip it over and start on the other side, and repeat about 5 times before I start to fall asleep. Unless it's freezing I have to have a leg out the side of the duvet and over the top of it.

I let my room get into a bit of a state, then feverishly tidy it up and make everything "just so" and keep it that way for a while, then for some reason just let it get messy again.

Yes, and yes!
What's even more irritating for my other half is I'll then go on a mad cleaning spree, and accuse her of being lazy and 'not caring about our home' even though I was just as instrumental in its getting messy in the first place!

ps - This thread is getting replicated all over the place now! my fault, I started one up elsewhere, and it's spread from there

People who talk through films or use mobiles really annoy me. I very often get to the point where I can go completely livid, but manage to control it. I've always contained it apart from a few months ago when a large group of kids had come to watch reloaded and they sat there texting, laughing and talking throughout the first 15 minutes of the film. I tried to hold it in but (like some kind of out-of-body experience) I found myself leaping from my chair, popcorn flying, screaming at them to shut the **** up until my voice box was practically bleeding. They didn't say another word...

classic :)

wish I was there to see that

I'm an analyst, i sit on the bus and look at people and wonder what they are thinking, what sort of problems are in their little world then i start to think that i am them, i see myself get off the bus as them or wherever i am and see myself doing stuff, going home to a family and such.

I also have some rather weird sexual thoughts when im left to my own pretenses which we wont go in to.

I move my eyebrow's up a lot so i have one up and one down, its a pain in the bum and i cant stop doing it now :/

I am VERY argumentative, even when i know for a fact that im wrong i will still swear blidn that i am right and i can get quite abusive until usually the other person gives in :D

hhmm.... the most weirdest thing is when im in a car, and the windscreen wipers are going, they have to 'bounce' inbetween a lampost, so i go past a lampost and its down, inbetween one and they are up, but if its up and i go past the lampost i get quite disgruntled then forget about watching them... until a few minutes later where i find myself doing it again!!!! its a never ending thing.

Ooh, just thought of others on my way back from the shop.

• Ever since I learnt that the last two digits of an old-style number plate are dependent on where the car was registered, and that the codes for my home town is YA, YB, YC and YD, I've been looking at number plates when walking, driving or being driven to see if any of the cars were 'born' where I was. I also end up looking for things in windscreens like out-of-date tax discs when I'm walking somewhere. I tend to get bored easily when just walking.

Mate just out of interest are you from Cheddar area?

I talk to myself, ask myself questions etc... and answer them! :p pretty normal there then..

if I say to myself wake up at a specific time I will always wake up 5mins before... I never ever need an alarm clock ever...

I can also tell the time precisely to within a couple of minutes. which i think is pretty wierd.

i have loads but I can't remember the rest!

Oh my god, I thought I was the only person who did this (both the pillow thing and one-leg-over-duvet! :o
Man thats weird when you hear someone else does it aswell.

Also, I can only EVER sleep on my front, If I try and sleep on my back I just can't get to sleep and lay awake all night.

I do this aswell, I feel good after the room that I've tidied is all nice and clean and swear I'll keep it that way, but after a while it ends up as a **** pit :(

I do this all the time, its strange.

haha I do this aswell! If its not lamposts its another related object.

I also have a habit of trying to beat the car by counting the white lines in the middle of the road before the car catches up with them in my head, but then the car ends up going so fast I can't catch up, so I give in and think of something else :o

Hmmm...

Like a load of people here, I hold imaginary conversations in my head with other people, imagining how certain conversations might go. If no one is around at home I've been known to hold my part of the conversation out loud.
I argue with myself sometimes. Its okay though, I've never lost an argument yet!

I near constantly have music going on in my head, or a rhythm or such like. I can often be found to have one part or another of my body moving in some kind of rhythmic pattern of some sorts. As I type my right foot is tapping against my left! Earlier at lunch, again whilst no one was around I was doing very complicated rhythms involving thigh slaps, hand claps and stomps of the feet, mixing in some obscure syncopated stuff, and at one stage I had my hands working on a 3/4 rhythm whilst the feet were doing 4/4, and then waited until they synced the first beat again before switching back.
If no one is around at home I'm often to be found singing loudly, and when I say loud, I mean loud :D Years of training, choral singing and solo singing has meant I've got a very powerful voice. Whatever I do I can be found singing, sometimes trying all sorts of different ways to link two completely different songs together.

My strangest thing? I'll skip along a corridor at work if no one is watching. Sometimes I'll do it even if someone is watching. If I don't skip I'll sometimes double step or twice to the rhythm or song in my head at the time. A quick skip is absolutely guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. I've yet to see anyone really start to skip and not start smiling!

A few of my bizarre quirks and traits there for ya.

Lol, there's a lot of things on this thread that I do, like the cold pillow thing (I saw an roadside advert the other day, it said 'I prefer the cold side of a pillow'!!), I go through arguments or situations that will probably never happen all the time, as well as a few others. One that I aint noticed here is that I HATE cotton wool, it sends shivers down my spine whenever I have to pick it up or someone pulls it apart. It's even doing it now, just cos I'm thinking about it! :p

Oooh another one...when I'm driving and changing lanes on dual carriageways/motorways I always try and do it so my wheels never go over the cats eyes, but in between them - nice and smooth. I think of them as land mines :o

I guessed this, but I don't see it :p so it doesn't bother me as much.

And it does make it flat :p, well in my experience. Maybe its a psycological thing?

It does not make it flat when its sealed in the bottle!

Working in a supermarket, i know the way drinks it bottles get treated... they get chucked around and abused, because its safe to do it!

I second this :D.

a) Say I were to scuff one shoe when walking along the pavement, I'd have an urge to do the same to the other shoe just to even things out. Or if I were to hurt my arm/leg/whatever, I'd want to do the same to the opposite limb - very strange.

I used to do that but found it so irritating I eventually stopped myself :).

And not a quirk or trait as such, but I do find people who walk slowly irritating, unless I can overtake them that is.

Also that hot pillow thing - I can't get to sleep with a hot/itchy/irritating pillow.
