Thats nice to know. One thing guys if you upgrading to Windows 8 Its a must you Update Bios to 2.30 for GPU stability.

hmmm, is that for the internal GPU or an external one?
Only thing I've noticed so far with winodws 8 is regarding power management.

When my system goes into standby - sometimes it flicks back on again for a couple of minutes then goes back off again. Thought this might be the Wake on Lan part of it though.....

Sure that was disabled in BIOS.
Anyways I've had problems recently with the USB ports but just put it down to the kids messing around.

Looks like I may have just borked my board!!! :((

Upgraded to Windows 8 and was running sweet, until someone mentioned the 2.3 BIOS is now out. Upgraded to 2.3 BIOS and ever since then I can't get my 2700k to overclock!!!

Now I can't say I tried this on the older BIOS (2.2) but now when I use the standard OC profile to boost to 4.6 (as I always have no problem) - running IBT v2.5.4 in Windows 8 - my cpu refuses to go above 3.8Ghz!

I'm thinking I'm missing something stupid here as its been ages since I last messed with overclock settings - anyone shed some light as to why it won't go above 3.8Ghz irrespective of what I set in BIOS please?

My last shot before I ditch this board for something else.....

Nothing? anyone?

I rolled back to 2.2 BIOS today and got exactly the same thing. Sure its only the sleep state stuff (and C1E) we need to disable when overclocking so no idea why its still getting stuck at 3.8Ghz when set to 4.6 Ghz in BIOS!.

Think its time to give up on this board and move on..... :(

I am sweetly running Windows 8 at 4.8 GHz with 2.30 Bios, no problem so far.

However, as a sort of back up, I did note down my settings on 2.2 before updating, and saved the settings in eXtreme Tuner.

My current settings are more or less the same as 2.2, Lucid seems working more smoothly in Heaven 3.0 tests.

Well thank the lord! - Finally got it working by getting the original 2.2 BIOS correctly configured - phew!

I'd recommend steering clear of 2.3 BIOS!.

Been running 2.3 Bios since it was released no issues here. This will be my last Asrock board for defo tho. No supporting a board less than one year old with Windows 8 drivers is shocking IMO
I'll spend my money elsewhere.
