Always makes me laugh.

West Ham made a calculated decision. Had they suspended Zouma they'd have still had to go through a week or so of headlines and then in 2, 3 or 4 weeks time, when he returns to the side, they'd go through another week or so of headlines. They've decided to get it all out of the way in one hit rather than drag the situation out.

Oh we know why they have done it but it just shows how little clubs care about the behaviour of their players if they think they can ride it out.

I mean look at certain owners at football clubs. Football is riddled with wrong uns, always has been...always will be.
How many of them committed their wrongness in front of kids, filmed it, and then proudly showed it off to the world?

But yes, you're right. Full of "wrong'uns"... so ban the ******* game and bang up every ******* player.
Forget what psychology says about pulling legs off ants - Clearly the desire to play professional football is the best way to identify rapists, paedos, murderers and other such undesirables.

One of them I’ve mentioned did it in front of kids...unfortunately for them though he killed them.

And the footage of him laughing as he did all this was made public?

Zouma is a ****. This type of behaviour would (and in quite a few cases did) get people in other jobs fired for conduct unbecoming and for damaging the reputation of their employer.
This **** should be no different. End his career.

It's such a weak excuse. Bad people have gotten away with worse so anyone further down the perceived moral barometer shouldn't face the appropriate concequences?

It matters that justice is served as often as possible, ESPECIALLY when it's dished out inconsistently.

All that matters to the clubs is their performance on the pitch. The clubs don’t care about them being role models, and they can behave how they want to as long as it doesn’t get out, it isn’t too much for the clubs fixers to handle, and it doesn’t affect their performance on the pitch.

Wait so you honestly think a player that’s kicked a cat shouldn’t be allowed to play football again?

That’s all I’m arguing against here....he should absolutely be punished but banned for life? Give over.

I really do think there's a case for it, or at least I wouldn't be against such a verdict.

Did you not watch the video??? He didn't just "much a cat". He had it held down by guys kids, punched it, chased it, and multiple times abused it with his ******* children whilst laughing and seemingly happily had it recorded.

Your moral compass is way off.

No it isnt i just compare it to other crimes by other footballers. As I have said multiple times, there has to be a punishment of some kind, be it from West Ham or if the FA can intervene then by them but a ban for life for this? Not for me. As I have said...If they decide that from now any footballer who breaks the law (in the way I have mentioned) should be banned then id fully support it but it isn't the case. I mean David Goodwillie almost signed for a club just last week!

Heavy fine, rehab, suspension for a prolonged period and if the law intervene then whatever he gets from them. If its found he has previous etc then well that's different.

I get that in the immediate aftermath people won't be so forgiving but calls to sack Zouma and for him to never play again just aren't realistic. What he done was terrible however he, like almost every other footballer that's committed some sort of offense in the past, will be given and deserves a 2nd chance.

Expecting West Ham to sack him, write off a £30m investment, only for another club to be the one that gives him that 2nd chance isn't realistic.

I didn't necessarily expect them to take those measures, but it didn't stop me hoping for them. It's a heart rather then a head reaction.

Either way, hope they absolutely tank now. To apparently serve up little to no punishment at all and even play him first game after the incident is pathetic. As you said it's probably the right thing to do from a PR perspective in the long term but it doesn't change how I feel about it.

at the end of the season if West Ham are in the CL spots no one is goign to either remember or give 2 craps about any of this. All the faux outraged so called West Ham fans that have been saying he shouldn't have been played are just kidding themselves. Deep down they are glad he played and that they got the 3 points.

My personal view is West ham should have at least suspended him untill what ever investigation the RSPCA were / are going to do was complete.
