Just installed my new modular and will see if the not very common coil whine is still present as I done this just now.
 
Hi guys,

Has anyone tried mining litecoins with a gigabyte 7990? I bought 10 of them and they seem to just instantly crash, yet run furmark etc fine...

PSU is Corsair RM1000 so I think they should work.....

Disable ULPS (via afterburner) then compare it to your 690. If you run at stock you can probably under volt it to 1.100v-1.175v, keep temps down and keep auto fan nice and low.
 
Oh where do I disable it ? Ps Thanks for the bios - Its very good - Looks like Im keeping my 7990 ! Good thing I completed AC4 on the 690 though.
