Im thinking of buying one but the whole #xboxnoise thingy

MS have said they will replace any noisy consoles as they should be very quiet.

I think I'm going to send my XB1 in to be looked at, it's by far the noisiest console in the room (although the PS4 is louder when playing something like The Last of Us)

My 360S is silent by comparison

My power brick makes more noise than the console. Even in standby it whines away....

Strange, mine made that noise when i first turned it on, was awfully loud. Thought it was the HDD installing updates or something.

Is this a fault then?

Got one from tesco Friday,made same noise as that video,took it back Saturday and made sure I got a different batch number,this one's fine and ultra quiet.
Sounded like hardrive working all the time on dash to me plus louder than it should,ive heard coil whine plenty building pcs and highly doubt noise is that,coil whine tends to screech and be more variable.

Your console has got issues

Mine is inaudible, even in standby.

Console is silent all the time. It's the power brick that makes noise. It's not loud but noticeable when it's quiet.

Thats a possibility as both my console and PB are whisper quiet. My PS4 sounds like a bloody hairdrier in comparrison

Had my Xbone since march and dealt with the audible static noise occassionaly on the dash and in games. It now seems to be more prevalent and happens for a good 15 mins after shutting down too.

Just put through an advance exchange so hopefully the replacement is free of it!
