10GB vram enough for the 3080? Discuss..

Tired eyes I guess :p

I have not had any issues with the HDR in games I play at 1000 nits. Plus you can adjust it in game with quite a few games :)

I only have 600 nits on my Samsung g7 Odyssey and when HDR is done right it's a decent difference. PC HDR in some games is a joke though especially compared to console. It's definitely getting better though these days.

So that fits into the criteria we have covered where if modding, you can push vram like I did in cp 2077 when using several 4-8k texture packs :D

TBF though based on the above videos, I doubt even a 3090/6900xt would give you a great experience given their fps on the "vanilla" version are also in the 30/40/50s depending on where you are in the world, they would maybe allow higher res. packs with a smoother frame latency but I imagine their performance would also be hit over the "vanilla" version thus requiring settings being lowered or/and higher presets of dlss to be used at higher resolutions, which in return will also lower vram usage.

Not sure what settings you use but if you haven't already, try dx 11 if you are using dx 12.

Well it’s not modding. I wouldn’t even know where to start with that. It’s simply dlc from the in game store which lots of people buy to enhance their experience. I also wouldn’t go by old videos of MSFS as it’s system requirements have increased rapidly over its 2 years and are set to increase again this week when SU10 comes out. Already on dx11, as per usual dx12 sucks!
