8700K OcUK Stock and Binned Processors

Thats excellent news Gibbo! Myself, and I'm sure many others who pre-ordered, will truly appreciate the effort you've put in to get your hands on more CPU's - much earlier than originally stated as well. Superb customer service! :)

We always deliver and always go out of our way to source more stock sooner, I won't divulge how as it is what makes me very successful, but we always do everything we can to get product in customers hands as quickly as possible. :)

Do you have figures of how many will be available after the pre-orders are taken out of this 80?

We have pre-sold over 150 units now, so there shall be none spare, the only spare stock shall be binned stock as we won't be making tray product available online whilst there is a shortage, it shall all be used for binning and SI. :)

It never stops, I am pushing and searching for 8700K daily, hourly and by the minute, I am some peoples worse nightmare. :)

I think Gibbo’s post is conclusive. Also, knowing how long that must have taken to write then it’s got to be appreciated for him to take the time to write it.
 
Boggles my mind how people can get upset that a business attempts to make extra money.
Well in my case, my PC broke on my birthday and i waited for the 8700k rather than getting an older CPU and hardware bundle because after i weighed in prices the difference wasn't that much, thought cool should get all this in a few days maybe end of the week at the latest. then found out all this. just would have been nice to know how the stock was allocated and things like that upfront on the site as I would have probably just bought something else that I'd have up and running by now. Stupidly I bought a asus motherboard again though even thought i'd have issues with the other 2 i had p8z77-v pro and something for a intel 930 cpu cant remember what it was. no idea why guess i love issues XD
 
Don't see the need to explain yourself to the keyboard warriors on here that like a good moan about nothing.

Will 5G delid's be available again this week then? I still might snap one up yet.

what we do with out stock is at our discretion and we will always do everything we can to keep all customers happy which I believe we have now firmly achieved.

Also no other company in the world will give you this level of insight into our business and communicate with customers

Pretty much sums it up, you did nothing wrong end of story and the open approach to business is why i'm spending my money here and not elsewhere. It's laughable its caused so much outrage, keep up the good work you big cheese Gibbo ;)

@8 Pack any news on the Apex arrival dates - I know the bundle will include binned CPU but I've already got my retail on order from launch (to delid myself), possible deal on that too or i'll just get the board/mems as they come individually? Be good to get a pre-order in to secure one of the first batch, along with the others spamming that thread.

I have to be honest and both times gibbo has updated and gave us insight, it seems very fair, honest and like ive said previously ive only ever had praise for the service ocuk offer, i never really see an issue and if I ever have done, it gets sorted rapidly and amicably.

The latest update is reassuring and i personally want to thank ocuk for going to extended measures above and beyond to try to keep people happy.

It is their business and as gibbo has said, they do as they wish with their stock but I think on moral grounds its just a bit harsh to open retail (not oem) and sell to others for more money whilst also still taking cash on the pre orders for those exact retail chips (oem binning and delidding services are different in my opinion, I think it's actually a great service option to offer those who want to pay the premium for it, this was never the issue and i actually like seeing binned and delidded options)....yeah you can look at the retail opening as good business and yes it's their stock but it just to me doesn't seem great on some of the loyal customers wanting a retail chip....anyway it's all been said and ive ranted etc, there's responses recently of it being a one off and that they will never open retail again (that again is their business if they do or dont do that but that to me sounds more like fair business). Ocuk have been perfect to me in every single way until this one thing i disagreed on (my opinion only) so I want to forgive it, forget it and move on. I guess they saw an opportunity and they are only human after all.

They seem to perhaps understand the angle on why some are a bit peeved now (maybe they dont, i don't know) but regardless... anyone who was originally unhappy (myself included) should now be more than happy and satisfied at the length they've gone to in order to make things better for everyone. Gibbo has updated us with lengthy updates and as hes stated, has let us in on the ways of the business and given info he doesnt need to disclose in order to put everyones minds at rest whilst keeping us in the loop.

I have nothing else to say on this matter only thanks to gibbo, an apology for my mass ranting previously and i believe ocuk are now being the ocuk I've always known and the reason ive always gone to them first before any other retailer and thats that they will usually go above and beyond to try and help you, get you what you need and maintain customer satisfaction.
 
We do understand we're all enthusiasts too, we just also understand the needs of our business. Anyway cheers gibbo for clearing it up about when the stock is coming in.
