Akasa Eclipse 62's Club... Desktop & Machines.

Nah I wouldn't worry about it. The four drives at the front of mine stay cool (2x36gb Raptors in RAID0 in the upper two slots, and a 300gb Maxtor and an 80gb Barracuda in the lower two slots) and still let the air through to the rest of the case.

I think I have finalised my build and this is the case...however, one quick thought, does it accommodate the Enermax Galaxy 850W EGX850EWL ATX2.2 Modular PSU ?

only thing that kills air flow is that dust filter getting clogged....better than a case full of dust hehe

on that note, does anyone have any experience with the fan side panel? is it any good/worth it?

not the best pic in the world, but I'm finding the eclipse a bit tight for space :(

s754 setup
1gb ram
2x 500gb samsung drives (at front)
2x 160gb samsung drives (above cpu)
1x 80gb maxtor drive in 5.25 suspended to silence it.

fans are a bit loud at 5v, so is the AC on the x800xt, need some new cooling stuff.

waiting for soundcard and tv tuners, might also add some more sata ports as I'm out of space bar 1 ide channel.

Hows your cooling with all those HDD's.

To be honest I've never checked the temps, will do it when my soundcard arrives (could be weeks though)

Can't fit a bigger CPU fan in there though, it's already touching both the HDD bay and Graphics card support.

already got one drive suspended in there, might have space for a second and possibly a 3rd. i'd love to make some suspension for all 5 drives but i can't think of a suitable place to make an all in one unit in the case.

edit: looks like I can take out both the floppy rack and harddisk rack leaving a space to build something there for 5 drives, will give this a go when i have some time :D

It will fit easy but you have to cut the case where the psu's bottom fan is.If you don't do this the case blocks half of the 130mm underside psu fan.I have allready cut mine & I'll try to post a picture of my Eclipse with the Galaxy installed when i get home tonight.

Where did you get those red glossy SATA cables :)

I want to watercool it but I don't think I'm going to be able to fit a 240mm rad in the top.

[EDIT] Well I've see one guys managed to fit a radiator in his which gives me hope. Seen a few people mention fans, I'm using the Akasa 120mm red LEDs, they're pretty quiet, at least quieter than my CPU HSF on full blast... temps suck a fair bit though, 60°C CPU and 45°C ambient case, possibly due to 5 hard drives not sure, going to fiddle around with hard drive bays and reseat and reapply AS5 on my HSF tonight.

ledbythereaper, looks like an i-event. Have a good time mate? Me and a few mates decided to give this years one a miss and do the one in the new year. We've been to a couple now. Great laugh.

Case Looking nice, try and get some Hi-res photos up. :)

SGWills very tidy. Nice and clean. Have you tried turning round your rear case fan? It looks like its blowing air into the case. I've always found it cooler blowing out the hot air and makes the fan a little quieter.
