Alien: Isolation...

Ok let me explain my whole comment.

Game was on the high seas for the PS3 well before Friday, youtube vids where
going up then. I watched a few then the other day someone done a 15 hour sitting
on twitch. I put twitch on and went about doing my daily choars popping in now
and again to watch him play.

I only seen the ending yesterday, and from what I have seen it captures the
first Alien movie perfect, not so much as scary just a very tense atmosphere.

Aliens was good but not a patch on the tense drama and atmosphere the first movie
invoked in its audience.

If you an Alien fan you will love it. If you Aliens fan you might not like it.

And yes I can be a little weird at times, but I thought everyone was like that! :p
 
This downsampling lark is news to me. Wonder what I can downsampke from considering my native res is 3440x1440. And will my gpu stress its little heart :D

You should be fine, this game uses 1.8GB on my system at the above resolution.

Use afterburner or fraps to display it.

You can also run the benchmark by right clicking the game in Steam, go to launch options and put -benchmark in the box.
When you launch the game it will run the bench and output a text file with the results in the main game folder.
Use something like Free opener to more easily read it.

When you're done, remove -benchmark from the box and the game will launch as normal.

I spent over an hour trying to kill them. Eventually lured them one by one out of the door and hit them with my wrench.

You tackled it same as me. Think I took a shot off one of them but got through that door. They are pretty tooled up by I did get a wrench round one of their heads who I isolated from the others. What was quite poor was he was carrying a handgun and it wont let you pick it up.

At the moment I am finding the humans and artificial humans more of a challenge than the Alien.

Been about 3 feet from it but it didn't seem to be as aware of my presence as much as the humans.
 
Is anyone finding the androids more annoying than the alien? :D. There slow but there like the terminator walking towards you in groups. So annoying when you get stuck in a corner or a dead end lol. Do you try to sneak around them or just run past them?

Use the vents...once I conquered the fear of the Alien being in every one I found it it makes life a lot easier.
