Alien: Isolation...

I'll drop the difficulty to normal when i play next, was hoping to finish it before TEW released but i doubt that will happen.

It is an amazing game, but i don't think hard is the way its meant to be played as mentioned when you start the game.

Ok thanks to whoever posted some of the tweaks im finding the game a lot easier to play without making me feel sick.

Only issue i have now is a kind of blur, the screenshot below probably doesnt do it justice.

Just looking to know if thats how the game is intended as it gives me the feeling having to rub my eyes every so often to clear my vision, yet obviously it sjust in the game :)

The fov and other tweaks have definitely helped tho.

Is that kind of blur normal?

I have implemented the game settings from steam forums, but I cannot get sweetfx to work, it doesnt seem to do anything.

Does it work with Nvidia?

How do I upsample my resolution? I game on a 1080p monitor.

Have you set sweet FX to use a on/off button?

Does the difficulty setting make a difference to the Alien AI then? I thought it was more about how much damage you could take from other sources, and how easy it is to kill them?
I finished it on hard and never found it frustrating, just have to make sure you don't over use your crafted items to distract the Alien and keep varying your methods.

You completed it that quick?

Makes me glad I didn't have to buy it, doesn't seem like 15-20 hours is worth the price they wanted!!

Yep. At the very least I have to wait until it gets dark. Even then though, I find that it is a night-time game for me, so best to play when it gets late;)

I see your point!

My wife and son are in Japan and fly home tomorrow, so I'm not waiting! I'm getting as much gaming in as I can!

On that note - I just had the Alien shiffing at a locker. My oh my it was tense!!

As I posted last night, it took me just over 24 hours on hard (been ill so played quite a lot over the last few days).

Well worth the 30 quid in my opinion.

Althought its tearing my nerves out, I'm compelled to come back and play it. I'm a massive fan of the films and this is one seriously incredidle game.

Cannot wait for improvements with DLC and patches!

The aliens AI seems to evolve as the game goes on. As I move on to the double figure missions it seems to have totally have changed tactics.

I had a level or two when I got a break from it. Now it is back with a vengeance.

I can't see what they would possibly improve with patches other than fully working FSAA!
