Is this new Alien game worth getting?

I've read good things on the steam reviews page so I am considering it.

Also I have GTX 470, I know its old but is anyone using this gfx and does it run the game well enough?

Yes, its worth getting. If you've got access to the MM, you may get a cheap copy.

I've been streaming it on Twitch for mate who is interested in it and could send you the link if you want to see some game play.

Yeah I've discovered those around that point, but I ending up just smashing in their annoying faces with the jack

I've got a 470 with settings pretty high and not noticed any issues yet but I'm still fairly early on in the game and haven't encountered any enemies yet which may drop the frame rate.

No idea what my FPS is but more than playable, which to me is 40+. I have it at 2560x1440 downsampled to 1920x1080 at higher than ultra thanks to a tweaked config file, here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=324612199

Game looks great, and runs well.

Just finished my first play through, best FPS game I have played for a long time. Much more to the game than I thought there would be.

I am into mission 5. I'm quite enjoying the game, linear though it is. Some good moments that make you jump, and a real feeling of helplessness. Game plays well on my rig. I do however have a 970 coming, due for delivery on Tuesday. Looking forward to comparing graphical fidelity with my current 7970.

Been playing with the lights down low and headphones on. Fiancé tapped me on the shoulder and scared the **** out of me!

hahaha, I was playing with the headphones on and the lights off when my phone went off in my front shirt pocket on vibrate!!! **** a brick! total atmosphere overdose

I am playing on Ultra with a GTX 650 4GB.

I was expecting to play on medium or low with an AMD 6350FX.

The Gameplay is quite slow and I am yet to see a significant frame rate drop other than when my PC decided to do a huge update.

My Specs
AMD 6350 FX @4.3 ghz
M5A97 Evo Asus board
4GB Corsair 1333mhz ram
Gigabyte 650GTX 4GB GPU
1TB Seagate Drive
EVGA PSU

Maybe not as sweet as other set ups but no problems game wise.

As has been said I think previously, the atmosphere is very reminiscent of System Shock 2.
