Alien: Isolation...

I haven't read many of the posts on this thread since the game was released but I am hours and hours into it and couldn't be having more fun. It's the game I wanted and my game of the year by far.

Completely agree :)

I disagree with people that say you just spend all your time hiding in lockers ect. Iv barely used any apart from the medical area.
And The alien searching for you only seems to be a small part of the game. Of course it would be annoying if it did it all the way through but so far it hasn't happened that often.

Bar the occasional time when ive had no other choice but to dive in one I've used them very little too. There's better ways of dealing with whatevers happening that are more rewarding.

Finally finished it. 10/10 for me. The harshest I can say about it is its perhaps a bit too long and can get slightly repetitive. But show me a game that doesn't. In regards to length, even though it is rather long. I did find myself saddened knowing it would some come to an end.

Still a while from finishing I think but couldn't agree more. What good games aren't challenging or frustrating at times.

I can remember the Android looking at the Alien and asking what is was. I found that rather amusing. Perhaps they do not attack the Working Joe's as they do not look alive, like the posters say. You'll always know a Working Joe.

Give me an Aliens game with this Engine and atmosphere and the classic Pulse rifle :D

YUP that would kick ass. I love Isolation as is but i wouldnt say no to a full on Aliens game. Same atmosphere but more shooty

"Hey Ripley, don't worry. Me and my squad of ultimate badasses will protect you. Check it out. Independently targeting particle beam phalanx, PFWAA! Fry half a city with this puppy. We got tactical smart missiles, phase plasma pulse rifles, RPGs, we got sonic electronic ball breakers! We got nukes. We got knives. We got sharp sticks."

get all that in to the game!

Walk...Alien..Hide...Walk...Alien..Hide

If that's all they did in the Alien's movies, they'd still be in closets and hiding under tables :(

Got bored just as I did in Outlast :p

Not a very inventive/adventurous gamer then I take it? :p

I hid in a closet once the entire game and that wasn't to hide from the Alien it was from a Working Joe. Every other time I either had a face off with the Alien and defended my stand with the flamethrower or distracted him with something.

I found Outlast to be tedious yet Isolation was exceptional all round.

Don't get me wrong I think the game is well made and really suits the Aliens franchise.. I'm just not a fan of hide and seek games that happens again and again. The Medical Bay for example, much rage

Outlast... now that was an odd game.

An asylum that closed with all the patients still there and for no logical reason was sponsered by Duracell! how many fricking AA batteries does a nut house need!

Medical is pretty much the only level out of all 18/19 where I had to hide a lot, the rest of the time it was using what i'd made as distractions and careful movement.

Just finished this game

Was a slow burner and hated the medical section .. but i persevered and loved it

25 hours total to complete on 1 play through, not bad when the game was free lol

Agreed the game evolves so does the way you need to play it. I must admit when I was in medical I was thinking if the rest of the game is like this I will probably give up, lol

The trouble with medical is up to that point, the game is pretty much dead easy, even on hard setting.

It's the first time you really get stalked so closely and I know of a lot of people who have given up on the game completely at this point.

Just completet and want to say this about the game ending

Totally ruined the game

Why does CA take control of the player? Why can I not remove space suit in Torrence and flame the Alien as I have done in the whole game. No No, CA decides. Such a rushed ending.

Before ending 9/10
After 5/10.
