AMD RDNA3 unveiling event

Just curious, does the gpu even have enough grunt for that regardless of vram?
Yes, yes it does.

It don't have enough Vram is the issue, surprisingly the overclocked 3070 was enough in that title at 5K if it had at least 9GB maybe LOL.

It slowed down in very specific areas and there was tiny stuuter hitching here and there whilst maintaining above 60 FPS.

Just checking my RE 2 footage with 3080 at 4k, performance was pretty good tbf so probably 5k be decent/playable as well:

IIRC, a patch or 2 addressed some of the performance issues especially when people enabled hdr @mrk was a fan of the game :p :D

Still not getting it a year later. :) Let's change subject to Ray tracing!

Lol HDR and black levels in that game were pretty poor but the performance was fine if you didn't enable HDR which resulted in weird stuttering, so if they've fixed that then I may give it another go but it was clear that res Evil 2 was the weaker PC port of the others when I played through them.

Edit*
Just reinstalled on Steam and yes the stutters are gone, but the colour presentation and HDR implementation remains total toilet.

We do get it. Far Cry 6!

Let's change the topic to laughing at 4090 users even though you have a 3090 you paid £1400 for. No sod that, let's laugh at 4080 users and then big up the 7900 XTX!

Obviously you needed more vram using somes logic here

Nah it struggles with the HD texture pack in FC6, next gen pixels too high quality for the gpu

We're talking about RE 2 remake, not fc 6.

Far Cry 6 is a bit of a rubbish game though.

Change my mind :p

It is I agree. I gave up after an hour or so. My point was he points fingers and laughs when he is in no position to do so.

You can't buy a 3090 and then laugh at people who spend £200 more for a 4090. You can't laugh at 4080 users and then big up the 7900 XTX. But that is what he is doing and then laughs at Nexus:cry::D

See my edit above, I just reinstalled it on Steam and saw no performance issues as per edit like I did before so they patched it in October it seems which is great. All settings highest with RT on the game says it will use 13GB VRAM and redlines my 12GB - But RTSS overlay shows it not exceeding 8GB VRAM use so the game is lying and coincides with what people were saying on forums about ignoring the game's VRAM warning when adjusting settings lol.

They did not change how colours/HDR look though asn it still remains pretty poor and I cannot be bothered to continue where I left off as a result :D
