This is really strange from Toms Hardware.
They already wrote an article stating that VIA are using AMD's Zen IP to build their own X86 CPU's, it's a joint venture.
Now they are writing it as if VIA are developing their own X86 CPU's independently from AMD to Compete, this is not what they say in the second article but the way its written leaves you with no other impression.
These two articles were written by two different authors, its really odd to see how two different writers can lead the reader down different paths.
Paul Alcorn writes the same news as its happening while Leon Chan writes it like he wants you to believe its an independent competitor with AMD in its sights.
Paul Alcorn is right, its a joint venture between VIA and AMD.
